StarCraft (and the Brood War expansion) now Free

Thanks, saw this on Slickdeals but it deserves to be on CAG and fuck whoever says it needs to be in the free section.

 
Oh man. this game brought a lot of memories. Back in 2002 of senior high school, I literally installed a bootleg copy of this game on every windows 98 pc using a Zip disk lol so we can LAN party in class. Teacher would let us play in class as long we finish our assignments. ah good times.

But isn't the free section called free for a reason? And the deals section deals for a reason?

A deal would be where you PAY less for something than you normally would, get some kind of gift card, a bonus item and what not. While free isn't a deal because you aren't paying anything, hence being free.

Besides, this is free for everyone for an unlimited amount of time, to get the HD updated starcraft coming out you have to pay for it.

We have free and deals separate for a reason. If you start putting free stuff here then the deals get pushed off the main page and you have to dig to find them.

Without order you have chaos.
 
I wonder what the max resolution is for SC. I doubt it supports 4k, so I'll probably buy the remaster. It would be nice if they'd also remaster Diablo 2 and Warcraft 2 and 3.

Free deals are the best deals ever. Imagine if StarCraft was the cheapest it had ever been at only a penny, then it would be a great, great deal. It would belong in this Deals section. Now imagine we make StarCraft even cheaper, it's a penny less now. It's an even better deal now, it's an amazing deal. So it's even MORE at home here in the deals section. Now I know deals, this is a deal and it belongs in the deal section.

I also know you Mrclark2, you belong in my cabinet, with all the other stubborn mental cases I've assembled.

I didn't know about the Free section when I posted this thread, but I'm glad I didn't put it there to begin with. Looking at the threads, it's a cesspool stew of "spammy crap" mixed in with a heaping helping of "who the hell cares." There's no way I'd ever add this subforum to my feed.
