I'm looking for a credit card to get to basically charge my insurance and internet every month and maybe a few other things to just build up my credit score.

I'd probably want just to get a $500 limit so I had some room above the two aforementioned things to do some flipping but I'd pay off the balance every month.

Any suggestions?

Your going to want one that gives you a ton of bonus points on your first few purchase and gives you a decent amount. There are a lot to choose from. I googled this site, it will give you a good idea of whats out there for you.

Buying a car in your name will build your credit as well, just a tip,.

Thanks. I already fully own a car in my own name, so that's taken care of.

any credit card would do the trick, just pick one that gives a nice starting bonus and gives you points towards something you're into to.

like if you shop at Amazon a lot, get the amazon visa, or if you buy a lot on psn get the playstation card, or if you travel a lot get a credit card with no foreign transaction fees and with bonus points on travel expenses. ect

Honestly, the only thing I spend real money on is gas, food, and bills. Everything gaming or amazon related I spend credit on.

BankAmericard Cash Rewards is currently giving $150 bonus cashback on first $500 spent in the 1st 3 months btw... it's 3% gas/2%grocery/1%other cashback on first $2500 per quarter...they've offered $200 before, so u may want to wait on that if it ever comes around again. They have different versions of the card whether if u wanna support ur fave MLB team or WWF or whatever. I currently have the version that supports my alum association.

Had I seen this post earlier I would've recommended BoA's Better Balance card, they discontinued it at the end of May. It was the card u would get $100-$120 back every year doing just 1 transaction per month lol.

If u shop at Best Buy a lot and not their Elite/Plus member yet, u can get their Visa card, $1500 spent annually on it will get u the 1st tier to get free shipping on purchases from bestbuy.com for the next year...and they offer 5% on BBY purchases/2% grocery+dining/1% other back in BBY reward points.... so once u hit the $1500 for the year, switch to the BoA card if u value cashbk more than BBY pts.

From what i've been told in the past having no credit is almost worse than having bad credit. My 1st card was a USbank Student card with about a $500 limit. Kept that for a couple years to build my score and eventually was able to apply for more lucrative cards w/ bonuses.

I would recommend a store card to start with.  Best Buy is a good one.  Synchrony Bank (Walmart, Amazon, Discount Tire, Ashley Furniture, Lowe's) if you need something store specific.  Another option is to ask financially sound family and friends if they have any good cards to refer you to, which gives them a bonus, and you a better shot at getting approved.

Chase freedom is a good one, discover has a student card that is easy to get

Avoid capital one, they harvest your data and sell it to advertisers
