Walmart has started the sales rolling. Like last year a bunch of $80 games are knocked down to $50. Stuff might be soldout when you look, but keep checking back, there are regular restocks.

Free shipping is for orders over $50, and all the games are a few ¢'s under. You can get some stationary or something as filler, or you can just have your order shipped to a Canada Post location for free.

Edit: Oh, also Walmart doesn't really do cancellations. So order what you want, or what you're willing to return in-store.

For any of you Switch guys, it's a great idea to throw down orders for Mario Odyssey/Splatoon/Arms on Amazon now if you haven't already. Amazon will probably match the price whenever Walmart restocks, and your price will correct without the need to get your order in before they sellout. If they don't PM in a couple days you can always cancel your orders...

Yep.... good thing I preordered everything last year. I just preordered marvel infinity with no real discount. I am just hoping price will drop at other retailers.

Amazon is doing 20% preorders. I'm not sure sure if you need to be Prime to get it, some phrasing suggests maybe? But here's the point, it's an E3 20% off discount, and it looks like it should stack with price corrections. I just replaced all my existing Prime preorders with the superior discount.

Oh, also Peach Beach Splash still doesn't have a Prime discount (there's some talk out there about Amazon taking CEs off the Prime discount...), but does have the E3 discount:

Ok, I've stayed up way too late here...

$79.99 games that previously had Prime discounts can erroneously pop Prime+E3 discounts, for 40% off!

To do this, add your game to the cart by itself, push to the last page of checkout and look for a double discount. If there's no discount, remove the game from the cart by setting the quantity to 0, then lather rinse repeat.

I snagged:

Culdecpt

Ys 8 (this is supposed have a day 1 edition too)

Digimon

Ni No Kuni 2

Xenoblade 2 (I don't even have a Switch, but whatever)

Fire Emblem Warriors

Don't try for Dissidia, it doesn't work.

Tried this with rince and repeat and no cigar...

Looks like Everybody's Golf is coming up as $49.99 at most places. Best deal so far seems to be 20% off at Best Buy...any chance EB will have a sale this year? Still can't believe they never compete for sales during E3.

the 3 new Atlus USA games are now on amazon.ca 151.74 all included for all 3

Any time a website gives you 20% off a pre-order, they are making $0 on the sale. If they offer you a bigger discount, they are PAYING you to get the game from them. Amazon and Best Buy do it in hopes of getting you to buy other things that actually DO make them money (that was the point of last year's Reward Zone points deal), and it obviously works, at least a little bit, or they wouldn't do it. While EB does sell lots of non-gaming items now, they're still about 75% games, and they aren't stupid enough to give away all their profits like that to the, let's face it, very small percentage of clientele that actively hunts E3 deals.

That said, they're doing some VERY good trade deals this year. Every $12+ trade gets bumped up to $26.67 towards a pre-order. That means you can turn what would otherwise be $36 of trade payment into a $79.99 game, which is basically $44 off, or a savings of up to 55%, which blows 20% out of the water.

Alternatively, you can get $10 extra for any trade towards an E3 pre-order. This is good for games that trade between $5 and $11 which don't qualify for the above deal, and for games that trade for $17 or more, which benefit more from this promo than from the one above. This deal also includes PS3 and XB360 games, so I'm going to trade in a few $5 PS3 games for $15 each toward some $49.99 pre-orders on the 3DS. I have a chance to get rid of some worthless (to me) games and get 20% off my new games in return.

I typically have a small library of games, therefore these trade-in deals are never good for me as I simply don't hoard games.

I saw that in the spam EB sends me. But nowhere did they state what an E3 preorder is. So, anybody know? Is EB selling E3 Flashers now?
It's a game announced /shown at E3.

I did get $17 for $7 TIV games ($10 bonus) and $15 for $5 TIV games ($10 bonus) (+ 10% Edge Platinum bonus).

I traded 3 games, so I needed to pre-order 3 different games to get the bonus for each of my trade.

Games I pre-ordered were 2018 EA sports games.

If any of you have a stockpile of disposable email accounts, it's possible
to sign up a half dozen Bestbuy rewards accounts. Then try plugging in a bunch of the 20% off codes till you get 2 codes that both work simultaneously, giving you something like 38% off O:)

Hmm, I can't say I've actually watched any E3 news. I have better things to with my time, like look for deals, and play video games. I gain my news by hearing what people happen to be talking about, and seeing what's available on Amazon and such.

So i guess Nintendo is serious about this $99 B.S. for their first party titles, it kinda ensures I'll neevr buy a switch for a long while, some good games seem to be coming but im not gonma drop $100 for each!!

I don't really want to get an Xbox One X but thumbs up to them for the $600 price tag for Canada

Well, are the games also up for pre-order on the e-shop or whatever it's called on the Switch for $99.99 as well?

I also don't own a Switch, but have been a Nintendo fan all my life, and have found it difficult to justify a purchase (have BotW on Wii U).

$99 is a placeholder price, all these games are being sold for $60USD down south. Although realistically it's just Nintendo dicking with the E3/Prime discounts. It can't be a coincidence that after 20% off the price happens to land at their normal $80 MSRP. But this will all sort itself out when the MSRP corrects.

Also if anybody is ordering the Tokyo Xanadu LE, it'd be helpful if you hit "tell us about a lower price" on Amazon. EB is charging $85 for it, presumably it's the real MSRP because EB never sells anything underpriced.

For anyone who may have missed it, Assassin's Creed Origins (PS4 and XBone) has been added to both WalMart and Amazon for $49.96.
