There was a 5TB external drive for $100 last week. This seems steep to me.

I have always read that HDD's over 1TB were problematic in PS3s.

The other one is an SSHD and its an internal drive. So these two don't really compare. Either way, these are $89.99 on amazon right now...

Oh I see, this is a replacement for the stock drive not an ad on. Still better to go my route. I bought a 2TB drive for $40 that has been working great. Only real downside is one less USB port to use. I'll replace the internal drive when bare bones drives hit that price range.

The Firecuda's 8GB solid state partition automatically keeps track of the most frequently used files, which does speed up responsiveness and loading for certain games.

I have two 3.5 inch versions in my PC and they have been great.

Just a heads up, becasue they way they word in the description on the frys page is kind of misleading. The 1TB version of this drive is an SSHD, but the 2TB version, which is in the ad, is a regular HDD.

That being said, if you are looking for a new internal 2tb hard drive, this is still the way to go...
