These big sales always bring the lurkers out of the woodwork. On date night, there's ~150 people viewing the thread (many who are guests), and there are less than 30 daily regulars.

 

So far this year I bought 135 games (and an additional one I got preordered) and I probably beat like 10 or so games total this year. So by now everytime I buy a game this plays in my head.

All I'm saying is, gifting is a thing now, if you have so much money to spend on games you don't play ^_^

This is from yesterday, a pretty big deal if it's true, I don't think the people as high up as Iger ever deal with these licensing deals directly. If it is true, I think that is a good sign that EA will be force to try and make Disney's fans happy, which probably means cosmetics only. I could also mean EA is on thin ice with their poor handling of Star Wars. Sure, BF1 had a lot of sales, but they should have at least 1 more game out by now, or very close.

And something tells me some of them were MSRP, some of them were fire sales, not all of them were that cheap, so you still spent at least $700 on things you haven't used so my point still stands.

I finally bit on the Ezio Collection. I've been on an AC kick the last couple years. I started off with Black Flag and I've played all the newer entries ever since, except for Unity, which I own but haven't started yet. Syndicate and Origins were fucking fantastic games, especially Origins. I encourage everyone to buy that one when you get a chance.

I'm happy to pick up the DLC to Deus Ex: HR.  89 cents for 4-6 hours of a good game that a lot of people probably got for free from GWG. It also completes a dumb whole in the story of the base-game. Go out and get this one.

As to the rest of it:

 

If we were to really break down my spending this year meaning everything gaming related (controllers, HDD, headsets, PSN credit, etc.) I spent a total of $1388 this year so far of actual money. Only games I bought MSRP or close to MSRP were Yakuza Kiwami for $24.07 and Persona 4 "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition for $59.70 and SNES Classic (UK) for $93.34. Thing I spent the most were probably those PCGameSupply 30% off PSN and eShop Gift Cards to help attribute to that total.

 

And I didn't do any flips or whatever. I Don't know, am I CAG'ing right?

This 'sale' is REALLY bad. All games are priced about $10-$15 more than last year during this exact sale. Not to mention, retail stores are charging less for the exact same games. XBOX really disappointed this year.

I love the multiplayer in Battlefront, the main mode is great, each map has been awesome and there are a few I haven't seen yet. Heroes vs Villains is a lot different then the one in the first game, but it's really fun and interesting now as well. And yeah, the space mode could pretty much be it's own game and not just a mode, which is crazy! 

 

IDK,  I play a lot of shooters.  In one like Star Wars I want to be the good guys.  At least have the option.  Most games I don't care or maybe lean towards being the "bad guys".   In Infamous for example I like being bad more then good.  

 

But with an IP like Star Wars I can certainly understand wanting to play as the good guys/gals vs some random bad guy nobody. 

Kind of interesting since I feel a lot of people on Star Wars would be the other way, they'd rather play as the Stormtroopers as opposed to a random Rebel guy haha :P And I know with the clone wars a lot of people wanted to play as droids (Also clones though!) 

 

Approx how long?

Maybe like 5-6 hours? I was on the hardest difficulty as I said and did explore/look around a bit and just marvel at the sights, it's a pretty game and definitely has a great Star Wars feel.

I know gifting just rolled out where I can buy the game and give it to someone else. What would be the chance of MS expanding that to games we already played and want to gift those instead? I think that would be great to be able to pass along a game we don't play anymore. On the other hand publishers and MS could see this as a loss of sale unless they could charge a small fee to recoup that loss.

Seems to be mixed opinions on that. Some hate it while others think it’s one of the best in the series.

I’m not the best to judge as I have tons of AC games and have yet to complete any.

I Have not met a single person who has called Revelations the best in the series. Not even counting random game forums or anything, no one as far as I know has ever uttered those words and it's never even in top 3 or even top 5 or  even point of contention.

 

The fact it has those terrible (albeit optional after the first one unless you want those achievements) first person platforming segments alone makes it one of the worst decisions ever.
