So anyone confirmed if new 3ds xl is $129.99 for a preowned one?

When I went in-store two days ago to purchase three using b2g1 on pre-owned, the in-store price was normally $169.99, and it automatically discounted $20 at register. The GS website price of $149.99 is the already discounted price.

 

When I tried to buy three in-store, they went up to the regular price of $169.99 for each one. So it looks like the system won't let someone use both the $20 off pre-owned 3ds systems AND the b2g1.

I did ok. 4(ish) out of 7 pickups were sealed. I say ish because Shantae's outer box was open but the inner standard game box was still sealed so idk how it should be categorized. Only intended on picking up all 3 SAOs, One Piece and Has-Been Heroes but I saw someone post about Shantae being hard to find already and HBH on Switch being a Gamestop exclusive so I snagged them too. Also managed to find a clean used copy of triforce heroes so I grabbed it. Between those and the 5TB drive I just bought from Fry's I've spent way too much money today.

I have the Plants vs Zombies 2: Festive Edition but it doesn't show up on the trade-in search online.  Does anyone know if this rings up as $30.25 before the 60% on top?

Hopefully we never see another mass effect game. We have 4 ME games, 3 Dragon Age games, 1 knights of the old republic game (from bioware), and 1 Jade empire game. Granted I don't know how that works if Disney owns the rights to star wars, but that leaves either Dragon Age or Jade Empire. Ideally they release a sequel to JE, as there's plenty of games set in medieval times but very few set in early China. Same goes for not caring too much about games set in space as that's being played out, and anthem is probably just gonna be another generic third person online multiplayer game.

Bioware has currently one main team, most of the Mass Effect 1-3 team, working on Anthem their Destiny-like service FPS game.  It got revealed at E3 and is shipping in 2018.  They have a second team working on Dragon Age 3 but they haven't talked anything about it.  Frankly I expect both games to be disappointing, given every game Bioware has released has been worse than the last.

 

Tried picking up MGS Definitive Edition but the two stores which the app said had new copies didn't have any.  Oh well, it doesn't carry saves over from the standalone MGS5 so probably a bad thing to buy anyways, its $20 on steam right now as well so could always pick that up.

 

Rime is an odd game, I platinum'd it last week and traded it in over the weekend.  Its 8-10 hours for 100% playthrough, but kinda sad and depressing.  I guess if you liked games like Journey and Flower you will like it, but if you didn't like those kind of games you won't like Rime.

Crap yeah you're right.  I'ts getting late haha.  So the question remains is the festive edition the same as the non festive when it comes to trade ins?  Will it ring up as $27.50?

I had the same issue yesterday with Devil May Cry Definitive Edition  . Shows 19.99 online but rang up as 24.99. Unfortunately I didn't notice until after I got home.

Is rime worth 20 ?

Tomb Raider type of puzzles with Cel-Shade graphics and a heart tugging story. Very cool game.

Absolutely IMO.  I've paid full retail for and enjoyed games that aren't as good.  Not the longest game, but great visuals and a cool story

I saw a bunch of sites reviews, which weren't too friendly towards it, but looked up actual user reviews, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I def ended up buying Rime last night lol. Gonna spendy fourth playing it!!

The Festive Edition is just the regular edition with extra DLC, which means they treat it as the regular edition with respect to trading it in.

I traded GTA V, Witcher Complete, Doom, Black Flag, Syndicate, Tomb Raider definitive and Battlefront with a $5 bonus card and got $175 in credit. That's more than I spent on those games thanks to our community.
I then bought those games digital for less than the credit I received.
Used that $175 credit to pay off Destiny 2 GameStop edition and Battlefront 2 which got me Battlefront ultimate for $10 and had $10 left which I put on Andromeda and I grabbed Has-been Heroes because it seemed like a good deal for a Switch game to check out (worse case scenario it's worth $5.10 with a bonus card).
I felt bad for missing 20% off on Battlefront 2 but I hope the $10 Battlefront 1 ultimate made up for it
