Do DVD/Blu-Ray Eye Cleaners Work?

DO DVD/Blu-Ray eye cleaners work?

I am talking about the disks with the brush built on the bottom, meant to clean the dust and dirt off the system's eye.

I've heard conflicting information, some say they work, some say they don't.
Other say they damage your system at the speed they spin..

I used to have one YEARS ago, but it was for CD systems only.

I have one and never had any problem using them. It shouldn't matter if its a cd/dvd/bluray since they all can play cd's.

Heh, as I said, I used to have it.
I've not been able to find it since I moved.
