I just preorder this, will prime discount be automatically applied later?

I see stock came back. Still not sure if I want this. I have the regular version for $48 after discounts. The PE adds a soundtrack and steelbook for an extra $50. A trinket a plush and an artbook don't seem worth an extra $160...

I threw in a order anyways, I can always cancel.

If it sells out, absolutely not. If it doesn't sell out, possibly not. Amazon.com is apparently clear about not offering Prime discounts on CE's. Down there they've discounted the Premium Edition, but not the Collector's. We don't even have a discount on the Premium Edition and it was listed a day or so earlier.

Still available for preorder on gamestop.com

I got my order in at https://www.bandainamcoentstore.com/ninokuni

Shipping is around 40 dollars to Canada, if you have a US address from a friend this is a good time to use it. Shipping goes down to 10 dollars.  Gamestop charges 20 tax, bandai site doesn't look to have tax.

There's supposedly a coupon code that works there:

"Use code BNE15OFF for 15% off."

I'm sure you'll end up paying more than a local order after shipping and such. But if local isn't available...

Well like you said I'm Starting to have second thoughts... are those add on worth the extra 160cad?

just tried the coupon code.. Doesn't work.

First Ni No Kuni wizard edition came with mint coin, plushy, a HUGE art book (400+ pages?) all for 110 cad... I think that is called value..

Hmm going back to school, so I guess I might cancel my order and just get the second edition from amazon for 79.99

The Wizard Edition was so much better. Plus they were going to print it to order (which they failed at...), and IIRC only received 22,000 orders. So you can guess the true demand for this. The only reason it shot up in value is because of the whole order cancellation fiasco. Now they're rolling out a CE with a higher print run and asking the eBay scalp price the Wizard Edition fetched. Plus there's a more affordable Premium Edition. If anybody is buying this with investment value in mind, they're making a huge mistake.

I think if they asked 150 for that collectors, I can swallow that... Man a lot of so called "collectors edition" for games these days have been going quick even if it isn't worth it.  Thanks to all the scalpers, the company never know the real demand for theirs games and keeps offering them for ridiculous prices.  It all gets sold and then put to be resold online.

Anyway premium edition isn't bad. I'll stick with that. Thanks for the input guys.

I am going to cancel mine as well. After looking at what comes with North America collector edition and comparing between the European King Edition. Europe has the far superior version. That plush is nightmare inducing.

I doubt anyone is buying this as an investment. I'm not. This goes into my collection that are never opened. I also preordered the Premium Edition and the regular one to play.

That's exactly how I buy games. I own 4 copies of NnK, the Wizards Edition, 1st print and reprint all sealed, and an opened playable 1st print. I don't treat it as such, but it *is* an investment. You're looking at buying multiple copies of expensive items, and then not using them at all to preserve their, value?

Value, yes. But not as an investment in terms of profiting from it. If a day comes when I need to sell my collection, I fully know that I will never recover the money I spent on it.
