With the release of the new AMD cards, a bunch of miners bought a bunch of graphics cards with included games that they don't want. You can pick up a code that redeems both Prey (recent release) and Wolfenstein II (future release) for dirt cheap. I just snagged a code for both games for $30. The games redeem through AMDs rewards portal, but give you Steam codes. Thought it was a reasonable tip and would pass it along.

I hope the codes dont get repo'd like some of the nvidia codes that came with their cards

Were you able to redeem them on steam already? Last time i bought an AMD code off someone, i had to have proof i bought the card with the serial number. I went to put the code in and it said i need to contact amd support and they asked for serial number and what card i bought

I purchased a redemption/voucher code off of someone the other day. I created an account, it asked for either a system or specific gpu out of a list or Other and you had to type in something. I simply put Other and typed in Radeon Vega 64 and immediately received my Prey Steam key. Wolfenstein II key will supposedly be sent to your e-mail when its available or they will tell you to log back in type of thing. I didn't have to put in a serial number or anything like that. It's also not like Nvidia where it validates that the card is installed via Geforce Experience. I have a GTX 1080 installed in my PC for reference.

Yeah I think you should be ok giving him that. I bought a car from a ebay seller and I had him send me the VIN number.

Just activated one of these today.  Out of maybe six or seven AMD game offer activations, ironically the only one that came back and demanded proof of purchase was the one for a card I legitimately purchased.  The only time I've heard of anyone getting a key revoked (or a threat thereof) was when NewEgg would screw up and offer the keys separately from the cards for 99¢.
