CAGiversary!
It's been a while but I've finally got another giveaway for you guys. My blog has teamed up with Disney-Hyperion to giveaway a copy of Tamara Ireland Stone's "Click'd" which is a book about girls, coding, and game apps.

Basically, the main character, Allie, is in middle school and loves coding. She creates a Pokemon GO-esque app about collecting friends in real life based on interests and proximity. Inevitably there are conflicts - both with her friends and with the app itself. Dealing with the challenges and failures that come with coding are a big part of the book as are the interpersonal relationships between Allie, her friends, and her coding class rival. It's a lot less preachy than a lot of books trying to encourage kids to get into STEM related fields often are. Click'd offers kids a pretty standard middle grade read framed around the application which makes the tech parts of the story a lot more interesting in my opinion. There are some code.org activities in the back of the book, too.

You can ENTER HERE.

The giveaway ends in eight days.

If you've got a middle grade reader in your life, it's a pretty good book. Especially if you're looking to point them in the direction of computers and coding. And we're still a fairly small blog so your chance of winning is probably pretty good!
