This was through the app.

So I just bought the Battlefront 2 pre order bonus from Best Buy. I was looking at bf2 and clicked on the free item which brings up a description if said bonus. Clicked on the picture and it brought me to the product page which listed it as .01 and had the add to cart button lit up. So I bought one. I guess if your preordering the game this doesn't matter but if your waiting for the price drop you can still have the bonus. Figured why not.

** Seems maybe only able to replicate through the Android app. Members using the iOS app report not being able to get this to work. YMMV.

i dont get it, when you click on the free item it just has the preorder bonus as text, there is no picture. can you please link the page where you can buy the preorder bonus?

Sku 1000008701. It was through the app. I looked at the listing for bf2. It lists the the item in the pop up. I clicked on the picture of the bonus. Brought me to listing.

I'm nerfing the website trying to get it on my PC.

Use the app. Go to bf2. Where it says free item. The bonus pops up. Click on picture. Brings you to the listing. Add to cart button still lit up.
 
Placed a couple orders for the PS4 and X1 for $1.10 after tax. The X1 is $1. Even when it’s a pricing error M$ is still more expensive. Lol

Eh, ordering a few if they catch on and people miss out and want to traded for them. I’ve got like 3 orders in so far. Probably take it to $5.

I sure do. I’ve basically just started trading and needed some fodder. I’ve still got 2 Metroids left and 3 EU SNESs. I still think the system looks awful but I dig the controller button colors.

DUDE! Thank you so much for this, I'm hyped for Shadow of War the 10th but I've been curious about SWBFII, now I can try it out for a penny in the beta and if I like it I'll have the preorder stuff, that's epic! :D

Would be good way to bump you up to a nice even dollar amount for points since lots of their stuff ends in 99 cents.

Also if you pair it with something that's $4.99, $9.99, $14.99, etc.. you can redeem the exact amount in rewards certs (depending on your points) & not have to pay tax on the remaining $4.99.

[ex: Item A is $24.99. You can't use a $25 RC since it's over the pretax amount. Have to use a $20 RC instead & pay $4.99+ tax]

 
I doubt I actually helped make this happen, but this situation is directly related to what I am currently "fighting" Best Buy on. I had a pre-order of Battlefront 2 and I canceled it (wanted to use a GC that I received for my birthday) - I noticed that a charge of $0.01 (or some similar around a $1 amount) was on my card - so I asked in-store and they said that it was due to the DLC. I explained it was "free" so how can they charge me? They said it was up to the company (EA?) so take it up with them - aka pound sand, no refund for you. So I just went home and disputed it on my AMEX and provided my receipt showing that the DLC was free and nowhere does it say it is $0.01 (or $1 or whatever).

Really annoying that they do this, and this new "solution" at least puts everything on the table - so if you cancel the pre-order they can keep the $0.01 or $1 or whatever it is. That is fine. Sneaking away with that money is not.
