On the topic of celebrity encounters, is Shipwreck related to Dean Ambrose of the WWE? They are both from Cincinnati, their real last name is the same, and they both have red hair?

I think Shipwreck has an e at the end of his last name, but "Dean Ambrose" doesn't ;) Robert Goode vs Jon Good

I had to rewind to make sure: 01:03:52 Cheapy, "I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about Star . . . trek." :shame: You don't have to be a Star Wars uber nerd to know them, as they were all in Star Wars Battlefront II (original).

  • Utapau: Place where Obi Wan rode the lizard thing & Killed Grievous.
  • Felucia: Jungle planet. Was also featured in the Force Unleashed. (Was only shown in the movie for a few seconds during the execution of Order 66.)
  • Mustafar: Lava planet.
  • Tantive IV: Ship from Episode IV.
  • Geonosis: Desert planet with the flying bug aliens & arena from Episode II.
  • Kamino: Where the clones were made.

haha, i noticed i said Trek when i was editing...Also, I'm not interested in any of those locations except for possibly the ship

About the Injustice 2 DLC.. I have no idea who Black Lightning is, so I would rather play as Raiden. Black Lightning as an extra skin for Raiden would make sense to me.

Good cast. I think Wombat won with his “... and then we killed some Heathers” comment. Also I agree, Black Lightning would have been better than Raiden, as a DC property that’s about to get his own show. I really liked the Arrow skin on Injustice 1.

I was disappointed with the lack of discussion on Forza 7 and the fiasco that has turned out to be. I know Cheapy is a fan and was looking forward to hearing his take on it (although I haven't noticed him playing, so I can understand the lack of dialogue).

This was the first time I had purchased the most expensive Ultimate edition only to be disappointed with the VIP and limited uses of 100% bonus that was permanent with previous edition's VIPs. While this particular issue has been addressed satisfactorily, Turn 10 has still removed the bonuses for raising the difficulty of your racing (such as turn off racing line, sim damage and fuel use, braking assists, etc) and made those bonuses a limited-use card they can sell in their loot boxes to go along with the useless doll outfits and insignias. The racing is still a lot of fun and the graphics are amazing, but I feel dirty for supporting a game that has implemented this kind of economy.

My complaints about these loot crates and "Ultimate Team Packs" have generally been ignored or even downvoted and berated when discussions pop up elsewhere. These F2P methods of getting money out of people in these full priced games have me extremely concerned. Or maybe as an older gamer, I played during a time where we haven't been conditioned to just accept these marketing tactics.

In the previous episode, you all talked about the new Tomb Raider movie and how it should be a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' style, flashing (forward?) to various possible death scenarios.

That sounds like the exact format of the old 1980's Dragon's Lair cartoon. I'm surprised none of you mentioned that during the show.

Also, I have an observation and suggestion:

Up until the past 2 years maybe, it seems like you all want rush through the show. Not necessarily rushing though the non-gaming banter at the beginning (which is the best part of the show BTW), but all of the gaming stuff. It feels like you just want to end the show as quickly as possible.

Maybe just try not to be in such an obvious rush to finish the show. These podcasts used to be 2+ hours long and now they are sometimes barely an hour. If you all don't like doing them anymore, maybe switch to once every 2 weeks or maybe it's time to stop.

Anyway, keep up the good work

Love Cheapy’s voice for the podcast. You sound like a radio DJ. Maybe you should take up smoking so you can have that voice every podcast.
I find it interesting how you guys have discovered Destiny 2.0. I put in a lot of time in Destiny 1 and I don’t see that much difference. It still all about grinding missions over and over to get better gear.

Roger roger!

I have the same problem Shipwreck has. I personally don't like to watch TV. Like Shipwreck, I feel that it is too much of a time investment and I rather be working on other projects in my free time.

A lot of my co-workers and family members often try to get me to watch some TV show but they never seem to understand that I have zero interest in what they are watching. The funny thing is: many people look down on me because I play video games. They feel that is a waste of time. Sometimes people who watch a lot of worthless reality tv shows tell me that.

Human nature is a funny thing.

I have an idea for Wombat’s Destiny shader problem. Exotic weapons already have Weapon ornaments, which are basically shaders that are more detailed than typical ones. They also can be removed and reapplied as many times as you want. So Bungie could just add Armor ornaments that work the same way.

Love the show, I’ve been listening since episode 100 when I was middle school.

C'mon Wombat, Raiden is a character that has been wide spread because of arcades and consoles.  Black lightning is a virtual unknown to the mainstream unless you read comic books.

As comic book guy I agree with Wombat I would rather see Black Lighting than Raiden.  If you want to play him there are a bunch of games people can play with Raiden.  Black Lightning is DC's first black super hero, and I think he deserves a bit more exposure than just a premium skin.

In terms of loot boxes I have yet to play any game where the addition of them has impeded my enjoyment of a game.  What I find more than anything is that the media complain about it because they have to jump from game to game.  People who have the time to dedicate a little time to playing a game consistently do not have an issue.  I think most people buy games only purchase a few a year, and are prepared to spend time to the loot chase.  When I play Shadow of Mordor I expect I will find a system that will be fine and another dlc scheme that is overblown by the media.

It is gross that Fortnite added the survival mode, not because they copied the mode but Pubg itself with certain visual elements looking the same among other things. Also Pubg was not the first of it's kind like cheapy said look at H1Z1 for example.

I've noticed too. More so from Cheapy. There is definitely an air of, "I have a list of topics and I just want to get through it." Nothing wrong with it per say it's just...odd for a podcast. Once every 2 weeks seems like a good idea. Or maybe a break until next year. Love the show and everyone in it, there just isn't much excitement and passion anymore.

Also, fyi, I can't image doing a podcast for five bajillion episodes lol. Amazing job. Sometimes it's good to take a break and then jump back into thing refreshed and energized.

Easier to do a longer podcast when the crew doesn't have kids, etc. Wombat has two kids now, so does Shipwreck, and their time is more limited now than when the show was younger.

It makes sense the cast's pace picks up as the evening gets long in the tooth, I find it more funny than anything.

I watched American Vandal because of this show, and in retrospect, Cheapy's correction of Wombat when he says "Drew the Dicks" is hilarious. In the show the mystery is referred to as "Who Did the Dicks" not drew (they were painted).

Feedback for last week's CagCast (most notably because requests for show feedback are frequent AND the following was bothering me):

Wombat. GOOD LORD SIR you need to stop interrupting your co-hosts. Most notably Ship. As a listener it makes me cringe that you seem to step on other people's comments / verbalization often, continue to press on with your interruption even when they try to finish their thought, and don't get called out on it.

It may not even irk the interrupted host, but it sounds awful to listen to and comes across as disrespectful and makes me almost want to stop listening or fast-forward.

That's a lot of specific Wombat criticism from some jack-ass somewhere in the internets (i.e. me) so thanks for reading, know I love the cagcast, and keep on delivering!

Despite being a long time listener of 7 years I've never commented on a cagcast, but I had to sign in to post this.

This is the second podcast I've listened to this week where the outro was an incredibly grating/annoying noise. In both cases my hands were occupied when the podcast ended so I was unable to turn off the sound (for the other podcast I was in the middle of driving).

Specifically - I was in the middle of preparing some raw meat and didn't want to touch my phone with my bare hands so I had to listen to the entirety of Jar Jar's death throes. I felt like I wanted to die. Please never do this again. Maybe Cheapy should play this episode's outro the next time he's preparing a HelloFresh meal so he can experience the same pain that he subjected the listeners to. No, in fact I demand it.

Other than that keep up the great work.
