Just wondering if any other CAG's have fallen victim to Paperclips?

It is easy to ignore as another crappy incremental clicker game, but it's from a notable academic (http://www.franklantz.net/) and as soon as I realized I was playing as a paperclip making Ai who was blindly ambitious, I got kinda hooked. Took about ten hours to complete and was worth it.
This game has some weird surprises about 3 hours in that blew my mind. Anyone else?
