I noticed these 2017 Koei PS4 releases dropped to $19.99 at Best Buy last night ($15.99 GCU).  Not sure if they are universal drops or not but even universal drops are best at BB because of GCU.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk (OOS now):

Toukiden 2 :

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada:

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey (OOS now):

Unfortunately Nioh remained at $59.99.

Dang, I just bought Berserk used from Amazonfor like $17....I don’t want to go through the hassle of a return. Jeez.

As much as I'd love to play Berserk, think the time has passed when I enjoyed Dynasty Warrior type games. Wondering if it would become rare though. . .

Any thoughts on Berserk? Totally would have bought Toukiden 2 and Atelier Firis if I wasn't hours late to the party.
It’s a Musou game, if you like that style of game and enjoy Berserk (anime/manga) then you’ll have a great time.

Ah darn, would have grabbed Atelier Firis if I saw it in stock. I think I'll skip the Warriors games and hold off until I want to play the new Fire Emblem one.

If you're a big Berserk fan it's the bare minimum of a decent game. The presentation and gameplay depth pales in comparison to games like Ken's Rage and the end game is very grindy and not all that fun.

My tolerance for the recent seasons of Berserk anime with the "questionable" animation and weird editing choices (Guts getting consumed again by the Berserker armor is a goddamn scene you play the end credits over, really??) make me feel I can handle this because of my enjoyment of Berserk.

After watching a video, I'm quite disappointed in the level of gore in the Berserk game. Anyway, has anybody had any luck finding a copy in-store of the games that are sold out on the site?

dragons dogma is the best Berserk game

how is Spirit of Sanada though, has anyone played it
Love it, maybe since I'm a mousou nut. Actually clocked about 5 hrs into it so far. The mini games are interesting but repetitive. Reminds me, never started SW-2, one piece warriors 3 in my backlog yet

Which version? The US version with gore turned on is pretty bloody.

Are you not familiar with the property at all?

Complaining about gore in a Berserk game is like playing God of War and complaining it's an action game.

As for your question, no, the games sold out on the site were unavailable in my area.

I believe it was the U.S. version and I meant that there's a lot less blood and gore than I was expecting. I was hoping for heads and limbs flying everywhere, bodies sliced in half....that sort of thing. :D

Thanks for the answer about finding them in-store. Might head to Best Buy later for something else and have a look to see if I can find a spare copy of Toukiden 2 lying around.

Berserk is back in stock for shipping after being unavailable for a day or so. Decided to grab one since while I've never watched the anime or read the manga, it looks like something I could get into.

EDIT: No longer available for shipping....that was quick.

Just read the manga. The anime is very bad.

Also since you'd just be getting into it now, the parts that we spent years waiting to end can be blown through pretty quickly!

One Piece Warriors 3 is awesome. I've played most of the musou-style games, and it's one of the very best for me.

Agree, It's the best Warriors I've played, it's best in both gameplay and storytelling.

Compared to other anime based musou, Fist of the North Star is a disappointment, the 2nd is even worse, don't understand why they made and released that. I hope Berserk would be better that it, it has already been shipped.

The Gundam Warriors is also getting worse and probably Bandai finally said it's enough to make the franchise look bad after the 4th.

The more recent Ashlan is ok, switching character during battle to proceed the story is a good, the card system is useless and after leveling up, those fighting skills learnt in tutorial totally doesn't matter.

I bought Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada online, and received it today, but it doesn't have the official playstation shrink wrap.

I thought only gamestop would do this kind of stuff

Thanks for the heads up on Toukiden! :D

I ordered a copy along with a $12 copy of Monster Hunter Generations for 3DS which also just came back in stock today. :)

My copy of Toukiden 2 was "delivered" today but it's nowhere to be found at my residence. Of course something like this would happen with a game that probably won't come back in stock. They sure delivered my personal property tax bill though.
