Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has experience with Chase's credit card price protection.

I bought the slim 500 gb COD IW bundle for $250 back at the end of august. Of course there are now a ton of stores offering the 1 tb model for $199 on black Friday.

Does anyone know for price protection claims if the sku has to be the exact same or is there some leeway with that? Technically they're both the same Playstation model and are usually priced the same at $299.99 but I'm not sure how technical they get with these things.

Thanks for any input.

Who's offering them for $199? I'm wanting one

*I'm very good looking, and great with rice.*

They are not the same item so I don't think they will qualify for price protection
Never used Chase price protection but Discover and Citi both have similar price protection benefits and neither PM unless it's the same UPC/SKU. Citi wouldn't PM on an item that was on sale during Black Friday either (I think Discover does, or used to).

Most places have different bundles on black friday to prevent price protection and pm stuff. Plus its black friday so places won't price match anyway.

Thanks for the feedback all. I submitted my claim using the BJs ad that shows the 1 TB model for $189.99 and it unfortunately got denied. I did call the card services number to ask if there was anything else they could do though and they said they'd honor it if I could get a screenshot of the 500 GB model at that price even if it was eBay or Amazon. I was able to get both, so I sent them in and am just waiting to hear back. I'll keep everyone posted.
