Sams Club Black Friday Deals

Just some information for everyone in case you don't know about Sam's club membership. "Plus members" can get in at 7 am and "Instant saving members" cant get in until 10 am. Plus membership is $100 plus tax and Instant saving is $45 plus tax.

Also you get $10 in cash rewards on every $500 you spend with the plus (excludes alcohol and only a few other things).
Best thing to do is to sign up for the plus, reel in those cash rewards until it comes time to cash out the rewards. If you go up to the membership desk at least a day before you are due to renew the plus, you can get a full refund on the upgrade and keep the cash rewards you made.

I talked to my friend who works there and he assured me that the store opens at 7 am for Plus members only... it's not open to everyone at 7 am but will be open at 10 am if you're not a Plus member. Also I have previous experience with this because I use to work there when they had these events going on.

Tried to go to one of those plus member's early access sales a few years back and at least in Erie it seemed like everybody and brother had the plus membership to get in for the sale it was as bad as black Friday.

From personal experience it is pretty bad and people are already lining up at the doors at 4 am just to get in at 7 am. If you want to skip the lines I would recommend shopping online and starts at midnight.

Am I understanding that you are taking both the cash rewards for having the upgraded membership AND requesting a refund before it renews so you are no longer an upgraded member?

Hold out for the 8K era.

It's just a few years away, in fact a handful will be in the market starting next year.

Major broadcast and cable companies are more likely to upgrade to 8K content as well unlike the current 4K.

 
I went in today to pick up my iPhone and have it activated to receive my $300 gift card from Veterans Day.

What would you know they didn't have one available. The department manager told me I could come back and try again on the 24th or on dec 5th as they would offer the promotion again.

What the fuck is the point of making me make an appt to come back in to get my phone if they're not going to have it?

Yup. Say you upgrade November 20 for the extra $55 or whatever and start buying stuff to earn rewards. As soon as your rewards pop up (like a month before your renewal) you can cash those out and then get a refund for the $55 or whatever upgrade charge.
