Bestbuy Destiny 2 ps4/xbox one $23.99 after GCU, GT sport ps4 $31.99 after GCU

i dont buy destiny 2 on principle alone, and still too much on gt sport. but ty.

Why’s that? I played the original Destiny an insane amount of hours. Never wanted to start D2 knowing how much of a time suck the game is. Is your boycott on part with the battlefront 2 issues?

You will not get the same amount of hours out of this one with the way it is currently. Id say at most in 80 hours or so you will have EVERYTHING in the game. There is no true grind in this game its just been removed and the multiplayer has two playlists, regular matches and ranked. You can not choose what gametype you want to play. I loved the first game to death but I quit this one after 3 weeks and a lot of the player base has left as well. I hope they willl change the game but the first DLC looks like more of the same for now.

Although it may seem like Im bashing it I would say its worth $24 for the gunplay. I feel stupid for buying it and the expansion pass at launch though. I wish I could refund my expansions.

datamined sons of osiris dlc before the game even came out meaning the dlc was in the game already, underhanded soon to be matchmaking system, and not giving you the xp that it is suppose to, so yeah, unacceptable.

No discount on Windows version and the battle.net sale is still too high for me considering how d2 is a blowup

The Destiny sub-reddit and Bungie.net forums are both currently in open revolt after (but not only because of) the XP throttling scandal.

It's a great price, but I STRONGLY urge people not to buy Destiny 2.

Googleing "features missing from destiny 2" will show even the die-hard fan of D1 that D2 is a severely lacking product, as well as some grossly shady shit Bungie has pulled.

Destiny 1 is superior, they dumbed down the game, took away weapon rolls it's all static now.

Pvp is broken, and split into TWO options, team shot reigns supreme, they messed up the supers gave everyone exotics, and totally f'd the weapon load out system.

The raid is the worst, the gear is pointless and best of all you get to play slot machine! Everything has a token system and a vendor to give you the same Crap over and over because you know, static rolls.

Oh yeah and f'n clan engrams, don't want to raid or do trials, bungie has you covered! Join a clan and get gear for doing nothing.

Lastly all the stuff that would be "cool" strike/raid rewards are locked into eververse so you can bang your head against a wall repeating the 4 strikes, cancer pvp and a raid that made people think fondly of the dark below to get a shiny engram!

Exciting isn't it?

I echo all the opinions against Destiny 2.

If you enjoyed the first one, you will not like the "sequel."  Everything you enjoyed about the first game is not in here.

If you never played the first one and want to jump in on Destiny 2, well, then be prepared for the developers to lie to you and to cheat you.  Google it if you want details.

I enjoyed the first game.  Completely regret getting the second.

I wish you whiny gamers would get this furious about shit that actually matters like net neutrality and politics.
honestly im upset about net neutrality being abolished as well, I sent a letter to the ffc via one of the petitions to keep net neutrality months ago when it rebecame an issue. Congress doesn't care they do what they want... we'll end up having to pay more fees on top of the ones we already have for each and every online game we play. Im not a naturally violent person but I think it's time to start putting these lobbying politicians down.

I don't mind the Clan engrams. But it is the opposite for the CAG clan: join a clan of 100 and never see the Raid or Trials engrams. Dammit. I joined the wrong clan... I think we've gotten 3 raid engrams total and it was a small group of CAG regulars (who, besides me, don't play any more) and I was in on one of those and tried to be in on the others but wasn't able to play early enough.

STILL, for $24 this is a hell of a deal for anyone who hasn't played. The single player plus public events/strikes/crucible is worth a good 60-80 hours, for which $24 is a great deal. I'm almost tempted to get it on PS4 (I've been on X1) but I really should try playing other games. But whenever I try to think of one to play, I just end up watching Netflix instead. I guess I'm getting too old ;).

Some people can do...both!! Amazing isn’t it, that our problems can lie with multiple subjects in the world?
Yeah, but we both know you aren’t. If you’re getting this mad over stupid shit like a game lying to you about how much XP you have earned, I highly doubt there’s much more to give for things like the new Republican tax bill.

Again, that's some dumb ass logic. So if someone is getting mad at something you deem unimportant then that means they can't be furious about something else in the world. You are picking a really futile battle here. Who cares what else they get mad about.

I enjoyed the first game since launch and the second as well, in addition to PC. So there are people that like the game and currently play it on both platforms. But yea if you didn't like the first there's no changing your mind here.

Anyway its a good deal but you must be prepared to purchase the expansions if you want to continue playing through next year.

I don't raid so the game was basically the same to me. The story was all doom and gloom then like 2 quests later back to normal which felt too easy.

I have been hesitant to go down the Destiny 2 rat hole. I played a ton of D1 to the point where I didn't play much of anything else for almost a year. Being able to see everything in 80 hours and not being compelled to play the MP is actually making me think I might grab it today at lunchtime if they have any left.

So the deeper than BF deals begin already! Still too much considering you're going to have to buy the expansion pass as well and likely a second expansion pass after the first two packs.

The Destiny 2 deal appears to be dead already. Wonder if it was a price mistake and not really a deal? Oh well.

I bought Destiny 2 at launch for $30, after using a RZ cert from BB, man I still haven't even gotten to Earth yet lol. Got to the farm and just....stopped. I absolutlely loved the gunplay up to that point. Lots of fun. I can't compare it to D1 since I never played it (still in my backlog, fml) but if its anything like D2 I may have to dedicate 2018 to completing both of them.

The pvp is a completely different game on PC. 2.0+ kd crucible player upset with some of the changes made to it but it really does play so much smoother and more competitively on PC. Not 'like' Halo but more like Halo so if you came in expecting over the top space magic and many way to one hit kill, you're going to need to readjust your expectations.

Playing trials or Iron Banner with friends is good fun.

Not sure if at the time of your posting the prices in the title reflected that, but pricing right now shows $39.99 with GCU for Destiny.

Apparently I'm rare, but I enjoyed Destiny 1 and also enjoy Destiny 2.

I feel old. Ever since I started college (and continuing into my post-college professional life) my complaint about games has been that they're too long; I don't have nearly enough time to play through all the games I want to play. Being able to fully complete a game like Destiny in 80 hours would be a godsend for me, so I'm looking forward to playing D2.

Damn my backlog is stupid right now. I bit on GT Sport....I don't imagine it dropping for awhile after this. It'll be nice to dust off the VR unit for it at least.

I logged into Best Buy today to take advantage of this deal, but goddamn it. Its $39.99 even with GCU in the background. fuck!

Now, I'll just wait for afer Christmas, or find a Destiny 2 copy for $23 or better.
Deal dead already?

Destiny 2 back up to $39.99 on their site already.

GT Sport still seems to be live.
Oh, screw you guys. You got a good deal...

I was a defender of Destiny 1 so I thought I was in the minority for a very long time.  I played the hell out of that game and have both of those t-shirts for completing all that extra crap.

Saying that, Destiny 2 is utter garbage.  Matchmaking sucks, the raid sucks, what they did with the weapons sucks, Titans look stupid, the 4v4 crucible sucks, the loot sucks, the xp debacle sucks, the supers suck, the Nightfall time limit sucks, etc.

There is literally nothing to bring you back to the game other than the social aspects of it...which they've ruined by gutting fireteams.

Unlike the first game, I actually enjoyed the campaign and that is about it.

I think they're working on the issues. We CODWWII owners are facing the same problems.

Was Destiny 2 a temporary price glitch? It’s now showing $40 w GCU. I put in an order and did in store pickup for extra $1 off. $23 not a bad price, I’ll beat the single player once the X upgrades are released. I don’t get sucked into all the other stuff.

Yes.

Couldn’t have been a price glitch. I saw several copies in store for 29.99 which would make it 23 bucks or so with GCU (before tax).

It's not unheard of for the website to update a price after the last in-store price update of the day. Doesn't mean it will ring up that price but they are obligated to adjust it to whatever the tag says.

Maybe it was based on units sold?

It was disappointing nonetheless, because I am buying a second copy just to see if it looks much better on Scorpio.
But since I got the expansions and fake 4k coming on PS4 I'll probably buy the first standalone expansion for Xbox.
