And side note for those thinking of getting IT. They already confirmed there will be a director's cut coming out later this year.

Will there ever be a deal on a Switch?  I don't really need right now so I can wait but it would be nice to see some kind of discount.

It came out less than a year ago and is already doing gangbusters in terms of console sales. Give it at least some time.

When you add a bunch of movie & TV deals to make it SEEM like you ain't wasting people's time...

I would wait on the Switch also.  With such a backlog of games, I'm waiting until it's 299 with a game included (probably next Christmas Season).

they literally just became the best selling console in US history over its first 10 month period.

Maybe, at best a gift card deal

Yeah I don't know what to do with this information. I pre-ordered it and I really want to see it but I may cancel it knowing there's a better version coming out later this year
I Think even if you were to buy the director's cut, in all honesty, I'm sure WB will do some kinda collector's set once both movies are out regardless. So it's kind of a losing battle unless you're super patient.

Probably not until this next holiday season. It's only been out for a year and the library is still limited.

I wouldn't rush out to buy IT. The next part doesn't come out until 2019. Just rent it. I don't understand the 2 year wait.
Because WB was doing a wait and see approach before green lighting a sequel. Especially since vast majority of horror movies in the US tend to have production costs of $10 million or under, $35 million is still a risky gamble considering it was R rated as well.

You think it's going to be any cheaper for the sequel? People are going to want a bigger cut now after seeing the success. Should have made plans in case things went well. Plus they lose momentum that would have pushed a lot of people to come see the second part.

I Think it'll be about the same budget and since majority of the actors will need to be recast, minus Pennywise, there really isn't (if really any) concern for bigger cuts. At most the child actors may come back for a flashback sequence, but I know a few scenes were filmed on production of the first film for the sequel. Plus I think about the time the movie came out they already had at least a first draft of the script ready according to nearly every press interview, so it's not like this completely blindsided them, Two years though is not a momentum killer by any means, especially since it's not like a ton of people have memories of the TV movies or even read the book prior to the films release so now there's already a built in large new fan base.

Anyone else see the phrase, "Free Switch" when this page first loaded up? Sadly, I did. Got excited only to be disappointed, just like 'real life'!

Not listed, With movies/.entertainment sometimes all platforms go on sale and sometimes not, so hard to tell.
I can confirm that 4K will be regular price. Stores will likely cover their butt with a sign where the ad is displayed at the front of the store. I’d say there’s no harm in playing dumb and pointing out the price when you pay.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Placed an order for Splatoon and Pokken Tournament as these seem to be the current best prices for these games (with the promotion) and they have started to dry up around me.

There's some select 3DS games on sale for $24.99. Mario maker, Kirby planet Robobot, and some of the older Pokémon titles.

Has anyone ever used the gift card swap program at Target? I just heard about it and they take GS cards too. Is it 1 for 1 matching value?

Not 1:1, no. Looking at 70% on the high end. Their angle here (or rather mostly Marketsource’s, the vendor that operates Target Mobile) is to make money rather than enticing customers away from another store.

Bummers. Thought it was too good to be true. Thanks for the info anyway.
