The Pokeball version had a raised spot on top as well for the button.

I’m curious to see if the switch and DS will start to compete with each other. Is the switch the natural evolution for on the go gaming? It will be really telling once the eshop actually works.

I want to take a second to gush at the wonderful design of the New 2ds xl. Unlike nearly every other version of the 3ds/2ds, everything that should stick out sticks out, and everything that should be recessed is recessed. Mostly, I love how the screens no longer touch. Of course there's also how it's much easier to access the sd slot unlike the new 3ds.
