FWIW, I think this game got a really bad rap. It was the first game I played through on my Xbox One when I got it last March, and I absolutely enjoyed it. It has some VERY tight controls, and traversal through the world is an absolute blast. I'd recommend it.

And if you have the vanilla version, you now have the Definitive Edition, since it'll just download the update when you get around to it. You're coming in at a good time, as they've fixed a lot of the problems it had at launch (long load times have been greatly shortened, annoying inventory system fixed by allowing you to dump inventory at save points, etc).

I, too, recommend it.

 
Honestly the definitive upgrade really was underwhelming for me having never played the base game, ui elements still look like a freshman in highschool did them with paint, game play is still mediocre, etc. I was camp Inafune, but maybe Capcom fired him for a reason, cuz this and mighty no 9 were pretty bad
 
If I’m recalling correctly, the game has a weird clipping issue where you can stand in other characters rather than bumping into them ... I’m not quite sure why, but it seemed really sloppy and bothered me 😆
 
I liked the game but it’s by no means a AAA game. I liked the story but they made the audio logs a collectible and without them to really fill in most of the story, the game is really lacking. I don’t understand why games do that. Bioshock has issues like that too. If you put part of your story in audio logs then make sure everyone finds them all.
