Walmart $60 FS - Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Bonus Ematic Nintendo Switch Travel Carrying Cas+ Screen Protector

I have that case and it’s pretty decent. It’s black on top and red on the bottom. The biggest problem though is that it’s not tall enough to house the NS power supply, the screen protector is average but it’s included for free. The case plus the screen protector came with my Walmart Nintendo Switch bundle for free.

I've been trying to find a decent case in the <$21 range so I can retire my BotW Sheikah case. I would prefer the officially licensed RDS Travel case but I've heard that the case and/or cartridge holders can leave wear marks/scratches on the back of the console (and I would prefer not having to mess with throwing a microfiber cloth in there to protect it). Ditto with the Tomtoc. It looks like the best bets are either Butterfox (that has a zipper ring that could potentially scratch either joycon) or Hestia (which smells bad?). If anyone has had a good experience with this Walmart add on case or any other, I'd be thankful for any recommendation. PS - storing excess cords/adapters/etc. is not important, I can just throw them in a backpack/luggage pouch.
I have the Butterfox Deluxe travel case and would recommend it. Obviously it can't fit big accessories in it, but its pretty roomy inside. I can fit charging cable, earbuds, games, memory cards, and joy con slides in the storage part. Protection wise I have dropped it a few times and (knock on wood) there's been no damage to my Switch. I want a bigger case to carry my pro controller and dock in and have been looking at the Amazon Basics version of the RDS deluxe case. It's currently at $13 which isn't too bad since the RDS one is almost $40.

Thanks for the advice! So the little ring shaped zipper pull on the pouch hasn't or couldn't potentially cause any damage? I know that the newer versions got rid of the conventional zipper pulls because that might have been an issue, and why the Hestia version has fabric zipper pulls (they even mention it as a selling point on the Amazon product page).

I have the Tomtoc and I would swear by it. It is good because it has extra room for the L2 and R2 buttons so they arent getting pressed the entire time you have it in the case. That always worried me, but mine is snug and I like that. There are also analog grooves in it so it is VERY snug. I feel like mine doesnt move around at all while it is in there. I don't want it moving around so much like it did in my Official Nintendo Switch Case. This is the one i have:

The Tomtoc looks great but if you look at the first reviewer photos on the Amazon product page, you'll see that the fit is so snug that it's lead to wear on the outer cover of that customer's Switch. Only cosmetic damage, yes, but something I'd like to avoid if entirely possible.

Ive had mine since December first, so let me look at mine. No one else has had that issue, so that appears to be an isolated incident. Either way, I'll let you know.

I have rds cases for my switches and no issues. I have them for switches and nes abs snes classics. No issues. I do have screen protectors on my switches.

Still undecided as to which way I wanna go. I'd bite on this deal just to try out the case but I'm still holding out for a decent Special Edition Pro Controller (Splatoon is ok, Xenoblade is also ok but less likely because I'll probably never own that game; fingers crossed for a Metroid Prime 4 version 😬). Thanks for the input though. Glad DarthPwner and your Switches are in great shape and doing well.

I really want a pro controller, but I’m holding out....
First, I only have 6 games (Zelda, Mario, Mario rabbidz, Rayman, arms, splatoon), one of which would use the pro controller
Second, I keep thinking a pro controller might hit $40-45 like the DS4...
But on the second point I might be off
