If you have a PSVR headset, Tumble VR might scratch the building-a-wobbly-tower itch.

Thanks. Maybe I can use it as an excuse to buy a PSVR bundle...

So I bought Tricky Towers during the flash sale for my wife and she hasn't stopped playing it since. First time she is actually requesting to play games on the ps4...
Does anyone have any recommendations for similar physics style games?

I think pogo has the original version that game is based on?  It was fun.

I wonder if we are going to get a game awards sale this year?  Seems like Sony would already be running it if we were since the show is tonight.  Would be odd if they didn't do it as Xbox is and to my knowledge Sony has ran one every year since the game awards started.

The Japan and HK PSN stores are having a game awards sale right now... might get to the US PSN today?

Microsoft started their Game Awards Sale last night and the PSN store updates at 11am EST every day, so I expect we'll see something today.

I'm still salty about the Game Awards not giving game of the year to Horizon Zero Dawn last year.  Instead of recognizing an amazing, brilliant, original game they gave it to the umpteenth Zelda sequel (which may well be very good, but still).

I mean they’ll probably give it to Fortnite this year even though we have Spider-Man and Red Dead both releasing.

I don’t care about the awards. I just want to see the announcements.

According to your post you haven't even played Breath of the Wild so why would you be salty? Also the award is for best game of the year not most original game of the year. So penalizing a game that is a sequel makes no sense.

Fortnite isn't up for game of the year, but is up for best ongoing game. I hope they don't give it to Red Dead just because it's the freshest thing in everyone's minds, but like you I'm just here for the announcements.

I don't care about the rewards or the announcements.

I care about the discounts that I'm gonna get.

Although, I know I'm not gonna buy any of the games anyway.

I think it should go to God of War.  My personal favorite game I've played this year and think it deserves it.

These are the nominees for Game of the Year. I've only played God of War.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Celeste
God of War
Marvel's Spider-Man
Monster Hunter: World
Red Dead Redemption 2

I like the narrative games category better. Sony got lots of nods this year.

Detroit: Become Human
God of War
Life Is Strange 2
Marvel's Spider-Man
Red Dead Redemption 2

Including the best VR category (which of course should go to Astro Bot).

Astro Bot Rescue Mission
Beat Saber
Firewall: Zero Hour
Moss
Tetris Effect

Dont care about the awards much, but RDR2 and Astro Bot deserve them.

Zelda was amazing and I’ve never been a huge fan

Horizon was good

I found the exact opposite. Zelda was good... but not great.

Both were great. I’m a huge Zelda fan but Horizon was better.

You’re in the minority, which is why Zelda dominated the awards

I quit horizon at the last boss and watched the ending on YouTube

Astro Bot should be up for GOTY, not just in the VR category. I haven't played the newest Assassin's Creed, but it is hard to believe that it would be better than Astro Bot.

Saw that too. First real sale on it outside of the preorder discount. Wondering if I should wait longer.

Donut County is also on sale. Eyeing that one too.

I sure hope Red Dead wins because it's the best game I've played in a very long time and there have been some bad ass games dropping this year so it had plenty of competition and still reigned supreme for me.

I'm excited for the game awards tonight: "there will be at least 10 brand-new game reveals in all, not including new trailers for previously announced games or DLC announcements"

I haven't played a Zelda game since Wind Waker. Used to love them, but Wind Waker effectively killed the series for me. That and Nintendo's miserablely faulty console hardware.  Tried to start Minish Cap long ago, but didn't get very far before losing interest. It's too bad, it used to be one of my favorite series.

Hopefully Spider-Man wins because that's my GOTY as of now. It has the best mix of story and gameplay to me. Haven't played Celeste and RDR 2 didn't hold my interest for long but the other 3 are in my top 5 for this year which are...

1. Spider-Man

2. AC: Odyssey

3. Dead Cells

4. God of War

5. Monster Hunter World

Darksiders 3 would have made top 5 if not for the technical issues.

Red Dead is easily winning tonight. As much as I want GOW to win (HUGE fan of the series), Red Dead is a whole different beast. Both are gaming at its finest. If GOW is an A+, Red Dead is an A++.
