If you don't follow now but used to get Fire Pro Wrestling instead.

Fire Pro isn't really for everyone tho. I enjoy it a lot but all of my wrestling buddies hate the game.

Thanks again to everyone who recommended Shiren the Wanderer for Vita.

>_>b

You'll be cursing the day you bought it soon enough (in a good way). There are several bonus dungeons that don't allow anything to be carried in, and even the ones that do ramp up the difficulty accordingly.

If I hadn't started playing Don't Starve today (and understanding what the hell I was doing for once), I'd still be playing Shiren.  It's a really good game.

I’m a fire pro fan. Always have been. Super fun, especially to create.

In my opinion, 2k19 is really, really good this year. I can’t describe it, but the general pace and flow of the gameplay is just so much better this year than in previous years. I’m super enjoying it. The community creations is always great as well for downloading other people’s creations.

And you can’t argue with its current sale price.

It’s a tough call, both are great games - but since he said he doesn’t follow wrestling currently, I’d probably lean towards fire pro.

Yeah WWE 2K19 is really good. I've been a fan of Fire Pro for a while so that's probably why I like it so much. But my friends went into Fire Pro blindly and didn't like it.

I picked it up yesterday and decided to try it before it got lost in the back log. I’ve only completed the tutorial, but I’m hooked since it really seems to have a nice balance of luck and strategy to make you want to keep playing. Easily worth the $8. Pro tip for my fellow older gamers or those with bad vision, make sure you go to options and make the text LARGER.

First off, nearly all the AC, GR, & R6 packages are nothing to scoff at. AC:Odyssey’s Ultimate Edition is my currently #2 wishlist item, since it’s a 1yo gold edition with the TBD remastered AC3+SP yet to be priced around $20’ish (like Rogue) when it releases in March ... and like others have said, will probably be just as sluggish to markdown as the PS4 remasters of AC:Ezio or AC:Rogue. Even the AC:Chronicles trilogy took awhile to come down from $20 to $15 to $10, and now finally $7.

If I didn’t have “The Division Gold Edition” or AC:Triple, then I’d be all over those as well.

But for your money & stated preference, the Far Cry 5 GOLD Edition is an INSANE deal, getting you a 1yo Gold Edition that already hit a new low @ $40 during Black Friday, and is now 25% below that sale-price just 3 months later. Add to that you’re getting a $13.49 (sale-priced) addition of FC3 (if you didn’t have it), the core FC5 sale-priced15), and the other addons of the SP (3 ep’s & flex-pack) for $2 (a $20 value @ individual sale prices).

Better yet, even Ubisoft knows it’s a good deal, since they’re trying to tempt us to by FC:ND (MSRP=$40) + dlx-DLC (MSRP=$10) + FC5:Gold (sale=$30.59) @ a sale price of $78, which is a whopping $2.59 off buying FC5:Gold sale-priced by itself ... and as a CAG, you know FC:ND has a wide buffer to come down, being primarily a re-skin of FC5 with a heck-ton of paint+ characters + voicework, and will recoup the production cost back during the launch window. Or to put it another way, with a $50 new “deluxe” game & $28 of older game upsell, there’s VERY LITTLE room for FC5 to come down, and you won’t see a lower price on FC5 until FC:ND takes a massive price-drop or sale, given the MSRP=$130 that the same “FC:ND + FC5:Gold” bundle jumps to on Tuesday afternoon ... and you’d still only lose $2.59 if you decided to pickup FC:ND next Wednesday, or next month in March, or into June when MS & Sony announce the price-drops to PS4-Pro & X1X around E3.

Whew! It’s a good thing my ADD allowed me to hyper-focus on typing that much via my iPhone 6S.

I really appreciate the amount of detail and math you did to explain why FC5 gold edition is the better deal of the dilemma I was having, all while on a phone! I'm definitely gonna pick it up, because ultimately it does seem like the better deal.

If we had to guesstimate when AC Odyssey will drop further in price, what would you guys say? These 2 games have been at the top of my wish list for awhile so it was hard to pick between them. I wanna be on the look out for a better deal.

I borrowed Fire Pro Wrestling from my local library this past weekend. The controls were frustrating and the graphics were awful (reminded me of the Sega Genesis days). I have never uninstalled a game so quickly and really happy I did not purchase it. The WWE(Year) games are always entertaining, especially if playing with a friend.

Why is it that the South Park bundle costs more than the two individual games combined?

I recommend purchasing the Gold Edition of "Fractured But Whole". It's $22.49 w/ PS+ this week and contains both individual games plus all "Fractured But Whole" DLC. https://store.playst...FSOUTHPARK2GOLD

I got it for 12 something in early access. It's an amazing game. Well worth the price if you really don't want to wait.

I'm unapologetically employing the sunk cost fallacy; I've waited so long for a decent price, paying close to MSRP would be a wasted effort. I'll wait forever for a decent sale price lol, even if that means missing out on a great game. I'm stubborn af here but fortunately there are many other amazing games at great discounts.

The funny thing about Fire Pro World is that I have a friend that beats me at every fighting game...except that one. He can't get the timing down lol.

It was free on Xbox (GWG) so maybe there's a chance for PS+?

Shovel Knight: King of Cards and the Showdown multiplayer mode have been delayed for several months to allow them to make it as good as possible for the physical and digital releases. No new date until they have everything ready to go.

It might, it's been on sale a couple times recently, so it wouldn't surprise me if it hit $10 by the summer.

But, to answer the second half of your question, it's absolutely worth $11.99 if you like challenging but fair platformers. It's a wonderful game.

Thoughts on WWE 2k19 for someone who doesn’t follow wrestling?

It's a lot of fun, Royal Rumble mode with simple over the top rope eliminations and 8 wrestlers in the ring.

BUT Wrestlemania is a month away so it'll probably get a slightly lower price

Highly recommend the Naruto bundle for $17.50. Lot of games for the price and it's only $5 more than the complete edition of the latest game. Also, new price low.

How has Attack on Titan 1 and 2 and also Berserk never been under $30 digitally? Koei Tecmo, I will not give in. Hopefully, they actually get under $20 for Golden Week.

Rocket League's big cross platform friends list update is live:

  • The new Friends List allows you to add friends from other gaming platforms to Parties and Clubs.

  • Accessible on the bottom menu bar next to Party Chat, it has four distinct tabs:

    • Friends

      • This tab shows your Friends from the platform you’re playing on

      • You can invite these Friends to Parties and Clubs from this menu by clicking on their name

    • RocketID

      • This tab shows your Friends on other platforms that you’ve added via RocketID

      • From here, you can select “Add Friend by RocketID” to search for a friend’s ID

      • You can input their name if you don’t know their full tag to do a search

    • Recent Players

      • Displays the last 25 players you played with or against that you aren’t already friends with

    • Alerts

      • Shows any pending RocketID Friend Requests you’ve received as well as active Party Invites, Club Invites, and other Notifications

  • Your ‘RocketID’ is assigned the first time you log in using your name plus a random four-digit code

    • If your name doesn’t pass our language filter, you’ll be assigned a temporary, auto-generated name like Octane#1234

    • You can change your RocketID at any time for any reason via the RocketID Tab

  • Show RocketIDs: Hide your RocketID from displaying in your Friends List (Under Options > Interface)

    • Players can use this feature to hide their RocketID during a live broadcast

  • Notifications During Gameplay: Disable Friends List notifications during gameplay (Under Options > Interface)

Spoiler

This seems to make it easier to get people together if they're not already on your friends list or are on other platforms, so I'd like to make a renewed push to get the CAG club going. Reply or PM me your RocketID#XXXX name and number or add mine (Crash#3342) and I'll get you in when I get the chance.
