Gravity Rush 2 $19.99 / $15.99 GCU back in stock @ Best Buy

If I didn’t get this digitally on sale in the PSN store awhile back I’d be all over this physical deal. Love this game. Highly recommend playing the games in order, though.

Hopefully not with GCU. Also where are you planning on flipping it to?

I’m playing it and enjoying it...but holy crap are the side quests complete garbage. They drag on too long and far too many are fetch and escort missions. Then of course there is “Battle Nurse” which I did today...they want you to basically run on a monorail track (feels like a tight rope) without falling while a train is driving straight at you. I couldn’t believe that mission (and some of the others as well). Are the developers of this game complete assholes? I mean seriously, some of that shit is just the worst. I do like the main story though.

Just noticed gamestop has Gravity Rush 1 for $59.99 used wow. Wondering if GR2 will be as rare some day?

But then on eBay you can easily find the pal/Chinese ver for sub $35

I just ordered 6! Thanks op! I'm so glad I paid my GCU up til 2024.
I hope you're not serious, because quite soon you'll likely make a post complaining about your GCU account getting flagged and cancelled.

Best Buy GCU has a THREE (3) copy of a game per account cutoff. It is in the TOS, and there is actually a thread in this forum where people are talking about getting their account canned for that.

Since you are one of the lucky ones with a long final date on their GCU account, I REALLY HOPE YOU ARE KIDDING for your sake.

/facepalm

I think I'll wait until all these $19.99 PS4 games go for on sale for $11.99 again. It happens a few times a year.

It was a drunk post. Also put a few pics of Xzibit in the GCU thread.

Can't bring myself to pull the trigger on it. I enjoyed the first on Vita but got bored before I finished. Sequel basically the same or are there any notable additions?

Basically the same game. Prettier but nothing spectacular. Still wish there was actual VO here instead of the cheap looking profile/comic panels and mere grunts and sighs.

Th controls IMHO are still broken. Surprised the devs didn't do anything to make this smoother. It's still harder to control than it should be and don't get me started on that camera. Oy.

Thanks. I'll skip it then until/if I ever finish the first

The sequel is basically more of the same, but I actually thought the controls were a bit better. I don't have as much trouble with combat as I used to on the original game.

It took an awfully long time for this game to drop in price. Also, the physical is becoming more difficult to find these days, as well.
no kidding.. it's not like a copy of Final Fantasy VII or something like that. Back then, there was no digital option, only hard copy; hence I understand the craze.

Didn't PSN just have a digital sale with cheaper price?

p.s. by the way, this is Cheap Ass Gamer, not Retail Ass Gamer, guys.

P.S, a lot of people here like physical copies therefore it's a deal.

Yup, count me among the gamers who only buy physical. With the rising tide of digital games, and comments like that from Ubi that the end of disc based consoles are coming, I do pay more attention to grabbing discs when they hit a certain price.

Btw, I don't think discs are going away completely ... At least for a while, but no doubt game publishers are going to increasingly treat disc runs like the music industry does cds.

I use to be a die hard physical disc guy but with steam and the high capacity hard drives over the years my stance has softened.

I have no issue buying a cheap digital copy from them and with their library interface the games are at your fingertips. MS has done a good job porting over 360 games. The real test will be when they end 360 live support because once they ended the original xbox it was very weird.

That's my biggest concern with digital. Steam has established themselves very well as here to stay because the platform the games released on is always relevant and makes money. Concerned as these online shops end service like the PSP and Wii have. As things have gone more digital/available day 1 on the new platforms the assumption is they keep it available in some form... but 15 years from now when I want to replay classics from this gen, I'll be glad to have discs of Horizon and God of War etc.

I totally agree with this sentiment and am the same way (I pretty much exclusively buy physical games, with few exceptions) but it's unfortunate to remember that 15-20 years down the line even the games we try to play now on these systems won't be the same since updates and dlc won't be available. Unless mods and hacking to save and backup that content becomes more common and accessible

It is very frustrating. I go out of my way to get complete editions with content on the disc for that reason. I had Witcher 3 and season pass.. bought complete. Same with shadow of mordor, Horizon, Borderlands etc. Will suck being unable to play some of these games as they should have been released (pat ched) or without the extra content that is often pretty sweet.

status changed to shipping delayed.  hope this doesn't get canceled like my dishonored 2: royal protector edition did.
