Is Best Buy still pulling GCU memberships when buying multiple copies of a game?

I heard about this some time ago, back when they announced discontinuation of Best Buy GCU. My brother and I each want a copy of KH3 but he wants to also use my GCU discount, so I'd have to buy two copies. Again, not sure if the company is still doing this because I heard it a while back. Can I get any confirmation? :/

 
There's a limit of 3 copies per account- if you buy 2, you'll be fine. The people who got banned all bought more then 3 copies.
