I already own the original Shantae on my GameBoy Color, and on my 3DS, but that's pretty cool.

Likewise. Though if the Switch port has the GBA extras unlocked as opposed to the GBC VC version, that would be nice.

Grabbed Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate for $13.99, seemed decent since physical copies run from $40-60+. Looks like Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is also $13.99 but 3 Ultimate appears to have better quality of life improvements.

The switch version of Dragon Quest Builders 2 is $35.99 on Humble.

There's some discussion on Reddit speculating this might be a price mistake (right sale, applied to the wrong platform), so if you're interested, don't hesitate and go for quick:

My backlog is telling me to pass, but my desire to own everything is pulling me back towards the darkness.

A new title for Wayforward...I wonder if we'll see them take on a Wario World game for the Switch.

Hopefully it’s 2d Metroid

When you open the ticket, it can be for one or both, and more than one set as well.

This. I sent both though only the left was wonky.

And in regard to the colors, they had a drop down for identifying the color you were sending in, including some I don’t think I’ve seen in the US. However, they also have a disclaimer that you might not get the same color back.

Yes please, you are a genius!

Even better, another 2d Castlevania just like the old DS games.  Day 1 buy for me, my backlog can't even be mad about that.

It's be neat if they got the license for that DuckTales April Fool's item they made.

Edit: Whoops that was FDG. Wayforward actually made the remastered DuckTales game. Never mind, as you were.

My son's JC mostly have one stick that seems to be the issue, but the other can have problems from time to time, so I sent them both. I didn't read the part about the color, so that's good to know, but I doubt my son would care one way or another if a different color shows up.

A quick update on my Joycon repairs. Two weeks to the day I sent them in they sent them back. They appear to have shipped each of the four separately. The same day I received an email indicating they received them I got one saying they were shipped back. I'm assuming they have new/refurbs boxed up ready to simply swap.

Any thoughts on Heaven Dust?

I bought it with a gift card/gold coins when it first came out and I don't regret it. It does have the whole chibi Resident Evil look and is totally inspired by the earlier games in the series. It's more of a puzzle/adventure game with some light shooting than it is survival horror. Also, don't expect jump scares due to the top down perspective. Overall, you could do worse for the price.

This is off topic since it isn't digital, but if anyone has been looking for Ring Fit Adventure it is currently in stock for shipping at Best Buy.  I was just able to grab one.

The new Paper Mario looks pretty solid.  I'm not wild about the ring system for fighting as it's timer based, but not completely against it since you can just skip lining things up perfectly and brute force through most basic battles.   waiting now for the WayForward segment to start.  They should have timed this better.

Edit:

Meh, the new game is a Bakugan game.  I have no interest in that, doesn't matter who the developer is.  It doesn't look terrible or anything... I just have zero interest.

Edit:

Meh, the new game is a Bakugan game.  I have no interest in that, doesn't matter who the developer is.  It doesn't look terrible or anything... I just have zero interest.

Yeah, same here.  Origami King my son likes the looks of it, watched the whole demo.

Then the next part came on ... new game ... WayForward ... Could it be side scrolling Zelda 2 remake with hand drawn art?  Bayonetta sidescroller?  New side scrolling Metroid?  ...  nope, Bakugan game, stream closed.

I wonder if they noticed what was likely a precipitous drop in the number of people watching when it came up?  I know some people like, and that is cool, but the teasing of a new WayForward game like this had expectations pretty high - so high that they even had to temper it some yesterday after speculation went nuts.

Someone that kept the stream going on reddit mentioned that within a couple minutes they dropped from about 150K viewers to 90K viewers... and the latest edit says they are down to 70k viewers.   I closed the stream once I confirmed this indeed was the wayforward game because there was no point in continuing.  Even if the game isn't "bad"... I have zero interest in Bakugan.  Same for not buying any of the other licensed games WayForward does even though several of them are pretty well regarded.

Thanks, been waiting for this, ordered one.

Seconded.  I'm really bummed that we're having to cancel our gym membership and hope that this will provide some level of workout going into the cold months during a pandemic.

I think they knew it was going to be of big interest, which is why they bundled it in and tried to be so mysterious at first.

But I mean come on Nintendo, they skipped doing anything around when E3 would have been, they have to have something to show that is of legitimate interest.  Are they going into the Fall with two new consoles from competitors and have absolutely no reason to consider them (not that Switch is a competitor to next gens)?

Thanks for the heads up for Ring Fit Adventure.  Been wanting one for quite a while and I was always kicking myself for not picking it up when I picked up Tokyo Mirage Switch in store and saw it there.

Bakugan is still a thing? I remember my nephew being into that for like 3 months 10 years ago.

There was a bit of a resurgence a few years ago in the states with the relaunch. Its popularity in the west is like small waves.

No idea how popular it is right now.

I recently bought my 9 year old some Bakugan for his birthday and learned the game. It's clunky but fun enough. It seems quite niche because it's really built around the novelty of the robots and how they function. I don't think it will last nearly as long as other fads did for them like Bey Blade or even Pokemon.
