Nice sales, I'm willing to pay a $5 tax after sale for Mario + Rabbids Gold (Have the base physical version) I'm completely blown away by how awesome that game is, shame it didn't sell more as Ubi did an amazing job. Never would of thought Mario Xcom could work. 

 

I tend to prefer physical for resale after being done, though at these prices it's super tempting for the convenience. Just bought Xenoblade 2 but I'm assuming Octopath may not be at that price again for a long while.

You should get coins. I'm pretty sure after I bought, beat, and sold Mario and Zelda I got coins again when I later bought the digital versions when they went on sale.

I got Breath of the Wild at launch with the gold coins that offered and when I upgraded to the digital version during the E3 sale, I also got gold coins for that purchase.

Does Nintendo give credit on digital purchases that go on sale after your purchase? My kid was all over me for 2 months about Just Shapes and Beats. I told him like I always do...when it does on sale. I caved New Year's Day and now it is $5 cheaper. I know I have been successful getting a credit with Microsoft. Not sure about Nintendo

Are you downloading in sleep mode or watching it download with the system open? I find that sleep mode seems to download faster.

watching it, although I did try sleep mode earlier and I don't think it was making any progress, but I might have done something wrong. Do you have to do something before entering sleep mode?

I just close out the Eshop and look for the little wrapped present icon, and when it’s highlighted it says to close the 3DS to begin download.
Do you have room on your SD card? I know installs can get weird if the card is close to being full. I’m trying not to buy Stella glow, but I enjoyed the demo and I think this is the lowest price it’s been. Must resist, too many games, too many adult responsibilities.

Apparently I did it correctly then. Yeah, I still have enough space. It did actually finally complete (I chose download now), but I'm now downloading a 20,000 block game in sleep mode (I'll have over 50,000 blocks remaining). We'll see if that goes any faster. I've probably had it in sleep mode for 15 minutes and it's at 4%.

I already have Valkyria Chronicles 4, but I haven't played it yet. I'm thinking of picking up the first game, but are they basically the same? I mean, obviously the story would be different, but visually, it's hard to tell if there's any real difference.

The biggest difference is that 4 has a new class. Other than that, they play pretty much the same.

Possibly dumb/obscure question but I know it's happened for other games in the past:

Anyone know if the save for mario+rabbits (physical) and mario+rabbids gold (digital) would be the same?  I know some GotY releases on other systems have had different saves/trophies (looking at you, Shadow of Mordor), for example. 

 

Really tempted to trade in physical for digital, as I adore the game.

It hasn't been cheaper digitally. Do you like Zelda? Do you like dynasty warriors? If you answered yes to both then you will like it. If you answered yes to only one if those then you might want to look up some videos and see if it's your cup of tea. I think it's a solid game but don't go into it thinking it's a Zelda game. It's really long too so expect to dedicate a lot if time to it.

Yeah it might have been $39.99 physically on Black Friday, can't remember. But definitely the cheapest it's been digitally for switch.

went to Best Buy with the thought of having them pricematch Target on the physical copy (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe), but I didn't see any on shelves. Verified that the digital code would sell for $41.99. Lamented to the customer service rep that Target had matched Nintendo's price on the physical copy, but that Best Buy didn't appear to have any copies to be able to match Target's price.

Buying doesnt. I have purchased from mexico, no spanish ads.
But.. i made Japan and UK accounts for demos etc that were not in us... i get Japan and UK ads all the time. So tied to the account region not purchases i assume.
