I’m gonna buy the voucher thing for sure, but will wait til e3 to see if AC shows up on the list. Since it expires a year from purchase, I wanna give myself as long of a window as possible.

Also, I immediately thought of CAG when they announced the vouchers and how we can use it efficiently.

Although I think your plan will work, but it is labeled as a "limited time offer". So maybe there is a chance they stop the deal soon? I hope not.

It says somewhere the vouchers are available for sale until 7/31/19.

Having a bunch of eShop codes that I bought for 20% off, this is an amazing deal for me. Deal + discount eShop codes stacks to 1/3 off plus $2.50 in gold points per game.

I am assuming you can only use this deal once?

I don't think so. I still see the option to buy another pair of vouchers, but I won't try it until more upcoming games get added. I also don't see anything about quantity limitations in the fine print.

In the fine print on the Switch eShop page for buying vouchers, it says “you can have up to 8 vouchers”. Since one $99.99 purchase gives you 2 vouchers, I interpret that as being you can buy them 4 times. I would also assume you may be able to buy more pairs if you end up using vouchers before this offer ends on July 31, since the statement is that you can “have” up to 8, not that you can only “buy” up to 8.

Just wait until E3. I expect we’ll get a Pokémon release date for the holiday season, and once they do Nintendo will update the vouchers page to include any 2019 and early 2020 big games they announce.

I don't buy that many new release games as is.  DQ Builders 2 & DQ XI-S... I want those physical anyway for my DQ collection.   Really for any big dollar purchase I want the physical as well just in case I don't want to replay the game or just don't enjoy it, I can sell it.

The combo deal of eshop credit sales and the $99 deal is not bad for those aiming to go digital only.

No word yet, but upcoming titles ASTRAL CHAIN, Fire Emblem : Three Houses and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 :The Black Order will be eligible for sure.

I bought a voucher set and have already pre-ordered SMM 2

This is the info I was looking for. I am in for the deal now that I know I can get FE and SMM at launch for $50. Thanks for sharing.

Well tomorrow is payday so getting in on this deal this weekend.

Getting SMM2 of course and saving my second voucher to see if AC drops on it, if not will probably get Marvel UA 3. I want FE, and Astral Chain Physical because I like collecting physical copies of RPG's and more niche games.

Yeah I'll be picking that up today more than likely though I just got Treasure Trove.  Pretty active for me this week compared to the past 3 months.

Anyone else excited about Darkwood releasing today? That game looks legit.

It's great on the PC.  Switch could be a good fit.

I think for now it's an easy pass on the Castlevania collection... but I do have most of those games on my N3DS-XL and then also have an NES Classic and SNES Classic... so... I'm pretty well good if I get the itch for classic Castlevania.

I'm in the same boat. But I'm happy Kid Dracula is on it, and it's only 20 bucks so I might just go ahead and grab it today.

I'm looking forward to Dragon's Dogma hitting a sale.  Want to play through that again on the Switch.

I’ve got it on PC so I’m not sure I need to double dip, but playing Darkwood was easily the best gaming experience I had in the past year and it’s become an all-time favorite for me. Just remember to be patient and most importantly: wear headphones!

Had it been physical for $20, no doubt I would have bought it.  When it hits $10 digital... maybe.  But I know how often I get the itch for these games and while I haven't played the NES Kid Dracula, I did own and play the GB version.

Dragon’s Dogma is not one of the Capcom games on sale, sadly. Must be too soon since its release on Switch. Hopefully it’ll be on their next sales cycle.

Picked up the voucher deal and bought Super Mario Maker 2 already. Saving the second voucher for either Ultimate Alliance 3 or hopefully the new Pokemon game gets added. Curious if it can be purchased more then once.

Yeah it would have been a pleasant surprise this go around.  I assumed it will be a while.  Haven't read much about the port, but I assume it will run well given all the work they put into getting the game in shape on other platforms.

Digital Foundry says that the Switch port generally falls between performance of the original game’s last gen consoles and the remaster’s current gen consoles. It doesn’t work miracles, but is a solid effort to make it work on Switch.

I’ve been enjoying Monster Hunter World and now i’m tempted to pick up generations while it’s on sale. I know there is a big difference in some QOL features between the two, but I feel I’ve learned enough from world to know what busy work is important (whetstones, pickaxes) to prep for the next fight. The thought of hunting while on vacation next week is tempting. Thoughts?

There was a demo , though Monster Hunter games deserve more than a demo to really appreciate it. The QOL features are a big deal , but if you are willing to lose some of those , it is an extremely rewarding and fun game.

It's very true to the classic MH games although different than World as there is much less hand holding. A ton of content here and well worth it, although I'd also recommend trying out the demo first to see if it's your cup of tea. Personally I found the combat more rewarding than in world although World is a much prettier game.
