Waiting on a sale for the End is Nigh and Tiny Barbarian DX.

I have hardly seen a sale on the Binding of Isaac, done by the creator of End is Nigh, so not sure that game will get discounted any time soon.

There was a sale on most, if not all, Nicalis-published games on the North American eShop from April 8th to April 15th. End is Nigh, Tiny Barbarian DX, and Binding of Isaac were all 20% off. Some of the other titles had bigger price drops, I think. If you are looking for physical cartridge sales, I’m pretty sure all of these games have had various discounts too at stores, and some might even go on clearance to make space for newer games.

Spent my balance and coins on the sale last night so I could finally try the region switching thing and then was reminded by Nintendo that since I have a child account attached to mine (huge mistake) that I would have to pay them money every time I wanted to switch back to the US. So just made a new account for international shopping like I should have in the first place to grab Hollow Knight, Stardew, and Aegis Defenders. Now to play the eight new games I wound up with last night...

With the octopath traveller demo, i love the idea the save can transfer over to the main game..
So i fire it up last night, only to find the “3 hour limit” on the save...
So of course im going to need to find all the best stuff and the best class to play to find all that stuff.

There's already sub-60-minute runs getting all characters. You can start a new game and play other characters, btw. It's not 3 hours total.

I typically lurk these days but thank you for the thread Frisky, it's appreciated.

Picked up Sonic Forces the last time it was this price since my 4-year-old son is going through a huge Sonic phase. We've had a lot of fun with it and beat it a couple of weeks ago. He actually did most of the work, clearing about 24 of the levels himself, which was cool to see as someone who grew up on the classic Sonic games.

Thanks for the tip about the Nicalis sale. Physical isn't my thing so waiting on a digital sale.

Fresh new thread.  We can always use a little extra positivity with this stuff.   I enjoy the game feedback as much as the deals.  Always quality stuff Frisky.

Q: With the new demo for Octopath Traveller, is there any specific path that's particularly fun?  I tried the Dancer with the first demo and didn't care much for it.  WIth the new one I tried the Hunter because I liked the idea of capturing beasts and using them in battle... but the intro dragged on and then despite having a lot of berries that first major enemy ended up wiping me out after about 30+ moves.  I'm not finding the fun but I'm still willing to give it another chance if anyone can recommend a specific character that just was super fun and made them love the game.

I've had fun with the Thief and that intro story.  I think you need to use the boost mechanic to get more out of your character and find the weaknesses of what you're fighting and use that.  I went over and hooked up with the cleric in my play through but you couldn't just do that without playing her intro, which was a little cumbersome in the midst of my thief play through, but an interesting mechanic.

Was really hyped for Mario Tennis Aces single player campaign, but from the reviews I've been reading they are saying the campaign is linear and frustrating/cheap, will probably avoid this until it hits $30-40

Just a reminder for everyone not to purchase Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today especially at that price. It's episode 1 of an old Telltale style point and click PC adventure game and when they brought it over to consoles they removed all mention of it only being episode 1 so people think it's a complete game. The game came out almost 4 years ago and no word of an episode 2 so no continuation of the story and it ends on an abrupt cliffhanger. I bought it when it was like 2 or 3 dollars on PSN and it was an easy platinum but I definitely wouldn't have paid regular prices for it.

Pretty much the only reason I come here is for this thread. Thanks Frisky!!

Might finally pick up Tumblestone. I completed the demo, and I've been getting an itch every so often to play more. I thought it was going to be stupid, but it's a pretty good formula.

Fortunately there are a few Toys R Us stores in my city, so I was able to grab End is Night for about $5 with the going out of business sale.

There will be things on sale during that timeframe, but there's no guarantee of any sort of big sale.

Wow, Air Mail is coming back.  Interesting.  I played this years ago on iOS.  It was fun flying around delivering packages and collecting the stuff scattered around the world.  Sort of a non combative relaxing Crimson Skies.  This is something I might buy again.  Thanks for the heads up about the Switch version.

Thanks for the new thread and update, Frisky.

I didn't realize that Owlboy is $25 normally, meaning that the physical is $24 after GCU. With the 30% off the digital price, I won't be able to get to it until next year probably, so maybe I shouldn't get it on sale to add to my backlog...

Finally gonna bite on Owlboy and Jotun.

Anybody have experience with Mercenary Kings?  Steam has it for sale today at $10 but I kinda want to go with Switch for the couch co-op and waiting on a sale for that.
