So you post a link showing that people who bought a switch AFTER july 17th can get the new console? wow... retroactively getting the new Switch, congrats.
Again, you never provided any proof to your claim that Nintendo violated FCC laws. After your claim of getting the new Switch, you quickly switched your argument to the joycons instead, which there was a FCC filing long beforehand which easily explains your possibility of getting the "new" ones.

So after about 2 weeks of you being quiet about your claim... you come back and all of a sudden boast that you were somehow correct by showing "proof" with an article that only allows people NOW to swap to the new switch IF they purchased the old one after the 17th AND contact Nintendo directly.

"proves" nothing.

Spoiler

I wondered why people seem to avoid engaging in conversations with 7String. Now I see why

Of course I bought my Switch on Prime Day July 15th. 😂😂😂

I've put so many hours into Crosscode and love it. Those of you who grab it on the Switch won't be disappointed. Fingers crossed for a positive Indie Direct. 🤞

It was actually delivered on July 16th, so I may kick the tires and see if I'm eligible. Just need to decide if the upgrade is worth restarting Zelda.

Man I hope they don't mess up the online component of risk of rain 2. That will be a day one purchase for me. I am glad it is coming out soon too. The other game that will probably be a day one buy is Ori. Outside of those two, I could be interested in most of the other games after seeing more game play footage.

At the end when they were showing games being released soon with dates, I noticed they omitted Cross Code and the Untitled Goose Game. Two games that are heavily anticipated and are supposed to come out this year. I hope they aren't behind schedule.

I was confused by the announcement of the Hotline Miami Collection because I could've swore I already owned both of these games and played them on the Switch, but then I realized that I was thinking of my Vita.

I just want Cat Quest II. Everything else I can wait on... but Cat Quest was both exciting and yet oddly relaxing. Loved that game. I just hope the sequel also gets a physical release.

There were some other solid looking games.  Freedom Finger had a rocking soundtrack and some innovative ideas for a shmup.  The Touryst looked very interesting though I typically don't like games by Shinen (usually pretty graphics but meh gameplay).  So I'm cautiously interested.  Earth Night, with it's running on dragon backs and skydiving definitely has potential.  I'll keep an eye out for reviews/feedback as it screamed fun though it also looked maybe a bit too busy on screen.  It's nice to see the Hotline Miami games come over to Switch.  I already have them on PSN so I don't need them, but glad to see them anyway.

Cat quest, blossom tales, azure reflections, and tiny metal are all better priced in the mexican eshop. Tiny metal is only $6 there while its $12.50 here.

Both Superhot and the Hotline Miami collection are already up for purchase at $25 each. Which is significantly more expensive than I thought they would be...

I must say, I don’t know if it’s any different coming off a fresh playthrough of the first game, but Hotline Miami: Wrong Number felt utterly miserable to play through.

I was confused by the announcement of the Hotline Miami Collection because I could've swore I already owned both of these games and played them on the Switch, but then I realized that I was thinking of my Vita.

Switch, Vita, tomato, tomahto.

Guacamelee 2 and DLC individually = $13.50 (3 purchases total, cause no add to cart...)

Complete = $15.06 (1 purchase)

Gotta love Nintendo's sale pricing.

Other than the cart thing, this kind of pricing goof is more common than you’d think. I see it crop up on Steam every now and then, for example.

Ori is such a great game.  It's one of my favorite games this gen.  It's just a masterpiece from start to finish.

I am curious to see how the performance is on Switch because the game looks like one of those games that requires a lot of power just due to it's art style and effects.  I played it on X1X and it was fantastic.

I was wondering,
Did anyone pre order zelda from shop4megastore.com? It was surprised it was available and at GCU price
I might cancel my Dreamer edition and get it from there instead but has anyone ordered from them?
Thank you

Thanks man
Ok I ordered it in case I don’t use my voucher on it

Big rumor is animal crossing will be one of the voucher titles so I’m waiting for that (bought it July 31 to make sure I get full list)

That’s not just rumor, that’s more like a common sense assumption based on how Nintendo has been handling the vouchers. Only way it wouldn’t happen is if Animal Crossing is delayed until Holiday 2020.

I don't think it is a given. If it was, then it would have been announced already. It will be interesting to see if it gets put on the voucher program though. Cause if it is, then it is more likely they will allow for even later releases to get put on.

Or they can draw a line and say only 2019 games are on the program.

So, I just finally picked up a revised Switch last night. First new Nintendo console purchase since the N64.

And of course, now I'll need some games. I did manage to pick up a used copy of Bayonetta 2 from our local game store, but the code for the first one was obviously used (boooooooo). Where's the best place/technique on picking up eShop credit on discount? I've worked up a small want list right now (Cuphead/Undertale/The Messenger/Gris thus far, along with a bunch of first-party titles). Thoughts/opinions on the best way to build a decent library on the cheap?

Raise.com usually has discounts. The trading forums here as well. Those two places should get you started. Costco.com usually has $50 for $45.

While that is true that we don't know when the program will actually end, I think the only reason they don't outright say that Animal Crossing is one of the eligible games is because it doesn't have a release date and doesn't have a store page in the eShop. Once a Nintendo-published game gets an eShop entry, it gets officially added as an eligible voucher game. Though of course Nintendo can do insane actions at times, so I guess it really is all up in the air, but I just feel like it's pretty much a sure thing if they can get Animal Crossing released within a year from now.
