Thumper is at its best in VR.

Is it worthwhile without?

Has DMC 4 SE been cheaper than its current sale price? I need to brush up on the story before the 5th game comes out, even though I would of preferred a sequel to the remake DmC.

Sure. It's a very good rhythm game, but the 3D audio and visuals works very well in VR.

It was a part of one of the THQ Nordic Humblebundles, so you could've gotten it and many other of their games from that.

Yep that's it.

Anyone have an opinion about Shiness or Seasons After Fall? The bundle seems to be a decent price, but I still don't know if I should pull the trigger.

I bought shiness in a previous sale for about 20$ after coupon.  I only got to the second party members section thus far.  Its combat is one part tales of one part xenogears.  Its real time but your attacks have button combos like xenogears did.  It was pretty fun until I got to fatasses section.  Porko is a whiny brat and platforming with him is awful.  Game requires you to jump as you run and he can pretty much only go in a straight line while he runs.  The equivalent to cars  or other vehicles from older games. The very first section has three rocks you need to hop across and they are not in a straight line.  And the path back up is obscured by the camera and blends into the background.  Took me 20 minutes just to figure out how to get back up.  Maybe im rusty at platformers but it felt like playing spyro 1.

It's pretty damn great and haunting, but depends entirely if you like adventure games.

Seasons After Fall is good, but exploring can get tedious and repetitive after awhile, especially when going for the plat.

Anyone have an opinion on Get Even? It's the only thing on my wishlist showing up as on sale, but I feel like it could potentially go lower.

It's not too difficult. I think the DLC is worth it for how it pays off a certain aspect of the story.

Also, you were asking about a 99-cent sale: https://store.playst...00BARDSGOLDGAME

Get Even is a hidden gem, decent gameplay with  a strange and interesting story

Sounds like my kind of game. Pulling the trigger on it, thanks.

The Deponia games are flat out hilarious. Recommended for those that enjoy point and click style adventure games with clever dialogue.

I was looking at these, but is there any reason to buy on ps4 instead of the cheaper steam copies?

2 few hour platinum trophies I'm guessing. Adventure games tend to be better on PC IMHO, though games like that are probably nice on the Switch as well.

It's not a difficult game to control on PS4. Chaos on Deponia was only recently ported; I'm hoping the last two come as well. This one is really personal preference on where you like to game, trophies, etc.

I like the writing, storytelling and atmosphere but it’s not for everybody. Watch the trailer and you’ll get a feel for it.

According to psprices, DMC4 SE is the cheapest it has been.

I bought Risk of Rain and Siralim 2 for my Vita. I hope they run fine.

Thumper is fantastic even without VR. Dark, brooding rythmn “runner” with great visuals and soundtrack. I’ve actually triple dipped on it (PS4, XB1 and iPhone).

It is fantastic, but plays like a 2D Telltale game. There's some choices that impact the outcome, and you're looking at 3 - 4 playthroughs for a platinum, but largely the game takes care of itself as you run from point a to point b. The writing is fantastic and it's a great supernatural thriller.

It's got some of the best character interactions I've seen in a game, allowing for varied dialogue like Bioware or Telltale games, without bringing things to a halt every time a conversation takes place. It's a shame no one else has ripped off the communication system and used it in other games yet. The watercolor-stlye backgrounds are also nice, though it's heavily story-driven, with no platforming or combat, and puzzles that practically solve themselves, as well as a collect-a-thon late in the game. There are multiple endings, including one "true" ending, all of which depend on your interactions with your AI companions, and how much of the mystery you can piece together from clues, as well as how many paper scraps you found. Definitely worth a purchase. I paid more, and felt I got my money's worth.

Is it worth picking up both the PSP and PS3 Darkstalkers games, or should I just get one?

Darkstalkers PSP is more like the old Street Fighter Anniversary, where you can play as different versions of Darkstalker characters from earlier games, with the moves and stats from those games. Interestingly, characters released later (like Q. Bee, which came out in the third game) still have earlier incarnations, based on what the devs felt they would play like had they been released at that time. The downside is long load times between matches. This game plays terrible on a gen-1 PSP, due to the poorly designed d-pad. PS3 Darkstalkers is simply ports of Nightwarriors and Vampire Savior with HD graphics, a ton of unlockable content (mostly concept art and such), and lots of display options.

I just played 12 minutes of Neurovoider on PS4, and I would highly recommend it. It's a customizable roguelike thinking man's twin stick shooter. If you go in expecting Robotron or Geometry Wars, it's nothing like those games. It's a slower kind of twin stick shooter. Instead of running and gunning through groups of enemies, you might even want to stop short before engaging an enemy to figure how to handle it until you learn how to play the game. And you can upgrade your robot with different parts that will give it new or better attibutes. The pixel art is nice to look at too. Well worth the $5.59 price.

It matches the low of $7.49 that it has hit a number of times. There is also the hunter's bundle that comes with some extra costumes and mode unlocks that has been as low as $8.99. https://store.playst...AINRDOBXXXX0009

There is also this new bundle from a few months ago with DMC 1-3 + 4 hunter's bundle. https://store.playst...MCHDC4SEBUNDLE0 The base price of the bundle is $21 cheaper than buying the two items separately at MSRP so if this bundle ever goes on sale, it will be quite a good value.

Oof, disappointing sale. I swear, Red Faction I and II have been like $2 or $3 countless times before on PSN. Why is it more expensive? Unless I'm thinking of XBL or something?

I just checked psprices and the Deponia games have never been on sale before. I still have the first one unopened, so wondering if I should buy both and sell my physical copy.

The first game had to be on sale before since I had it in my collection and I never buy games at full price.  Bought the sequel in this sale.  Love the series and hope we get the whole quadrilogy on the PSN.

Nope. I've had a PS4 for 2 years. Plus the entire time. It was released in the month I got it (2016).

**Infact, I'm positive this is the first time it's been on sale.

You might be thinking of Hyper Void.  Hyper Light Drifter hasn't ever been free on PSN as far as I can tell.

I’m leaning toward Hyper Light Drifter and Nex Machina for the digital backlog.

Anyone played that Ultimate Ghouls & Ghosts game? I am somewhat on the fence for it.
