PS4, Xbone - Dark Souls Remastered $23.99 GCU bestbuy.com

That's probably the hardest non-boss part of a Soulsborne game so don't feel bad.
LOL, and he gets to have it immediately followed up by the hardest boss (well, bosses) in the game (and possibly the series).

My suggestion it to summon someone if it is an issue for you. You can often find signs near bonfires and not just boss areas. Summoning isn't just for bosses, many people are willing to help you through levels and giving the archers multiple targets (especially if the other guy is good at that part) can really help. There is no shame in summoning, but remember as you get better to pay it forward and put down your own sign to help others that are stuck.

Maxed out Zweihander makes pretty short work of them and I had a way harder time with the rooftops the first time I played because I was trying not to die. Once you realize souls are farmable in certain spots and sprinting to bosses is the best way to play, the game becomes infinitely easier. I only died getting up the roof once because the knight wouldn't move the first time; just keep sprinting up there and walk around him when he moves to attack you melee. All you need to do is light that bonfire inside the castle after that part and you're golden.

You can get the Knights with arrows. Find a spot where their Spears hit the building or inclines, and then kill them with arrows.

Not in Japan, https://gematsu.com/2018/05/media-create-sales-5-21-18-5-27-18

I think that's a fair price should of been $29 out of the gate, but really enjoying the full 60fps on the XoneX. Don't regret my $39 purchase but I'm now stuck on climbing the inclines in New Londo with gawd damn silver knights basically shooting spears at me
When they shoot the Spears at you, try rolling under them instead of blocking. Less chance of you getting knocked off the edge from them. That’s how I got passed it. Good luck!

In for a retroactive price match!
Had to fight to get mine. CSR kept copying and pasting their Price Match FAQ...I had to read it and point out the exact scenario below. They kept saying you paid 31.99 - $1 for store pickup, the price is 29.99 and we cannot apply GCU so your refund will only be $1.09. I had to say it gives the exact example in the FAQ saying you will apply GCU to the price match when its from Best Buy smh. Now theyll probably cancel my GCU haha.

For example, If a Gamers Club Unlocked member paid $47.99 for a new game priced at $59.99 and Best Buy lowers the price to $49.99 during the return and exchange period, we will, upon request, price match the new price with the 20% discount and sell the My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked member the game for $39.99.

Crazy. I got my adjustment in, like, 5 minutes

No it did not.
You sure? What are the sales numbers? I don’t doubt the quality, just the sales numbers.

I’m personally waiting for the Switch version, unless it reviews (runs) horribly, then I’ll just grab the PS4 or X1 version after all.

Not sure actual numbers, co-op and signs were very active though. Already got my Plat and sold on ebay, with this retro price match I actually came out on top too!

Side note, love the DS communities helpfulness. Even this thread has people offering suggestions and help lol

The game wasn’t even in the top 20 NPD for May, so it definitely did worse than I expected. The SF collection did better.

I already plat the original when it was released. Anything in this version that justifies a replay?
It does have the DLC in case you didn't get to play it. I have the Prepare to Die edition on PC but I'll still probably grab this when it hits $10 or so just to have it on PS4 and play through it again for some trophies.

For the effort that was put into this release, $40 was asking way too much. More work was put into the Switch release and I think just having it on the go is enough to make people wait for that version.

Considering the amount of competition in regards to new games, this should've launched at $20.

Jim Sterling does an amazing overview on what's good about it and what should have been added to make it a true remaster. Some basic texture packs and an FPS bump is hardly what I'd consider a remastering.
