Yakuza 0 PS4 price drop 19.99 @bestbuy 15.99 with GCU

Anyone thinking about it should bite. This game is unbelievably good. Hadn't played a Yakuza game before but this one hooked me and I've since played all of them. Absolutely worth $15.

I wonder if the GH version will have some of the necessary patches on disc. No big deal, but it would be nice to have to avoid any big downloads when you boot this up.

Yeah... Yakuza 0 is part of Sony's new PS4 Greatest Hits initiative. So, $20 is likely the new permanent price. But, yeah, if you don't want the red game case, and still have GCU, go ahead and bite.

I have to select having it shipped first, then on the checkout screen it gives you the option to change to store pickup for $1 off. If you do store pick from the get go, the $1 off doesn't seem to generate for some reason.
It's because it's an incentive to do store pickup. They don't do it if you're already getting it in store.

The item also has to be in stock at that store for the option to show up.

Overpaid on this one.

I feel like the Yakuza series was semi-niche before. I have owned the prior games since the PS2 but by Yakuza 5 it was completely under the radar for me (probably because it never got a physical release here AFAIK). When I saw this was out I actually thought it might go out of print, so I jumped early.

Now there's 0 being discounted, and Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza 6, Kiwami 2 inbound - suddenly everywhere you look there's a Yakuza game.

Wondering why the change.

Yakuza is popular in the West now

Another cheap, interesting, critically acclaimed game that I will buy, store in my collection, and probably never play. 30 year old gamers in 2018 :whistle2:/

This one is worth playing....you don't have to do all the side stories, but it's pretty fun. Maybe one of my least favorite stories (other than the Majima stuff), but it's still pretty good. Just know you may get a little spoiled on gameplay for when you likely play yakuza 3-5 eventually. Worth it at $20 for sure.

38 and definitely not gaming as much as I used to. That said, I do buy games I want to play though with the meteoric rise of games as a service, I'm finding fewer and fewer games I want. May be that's a good thing; it's sadly probably also another sign that my "time" in this industry may be coming to an end.

I wish I wasn’t interested in new games coming out. My backlog is so huge that I think that if I stopped buying games today I’d still have enough to last me the rest of my life. Literally.

Looks like gamestop also just dropped their price. Also all stores around me got this stocked, time to head to my local GS since I got some credit to burn!

I'm 39 and I spend more time a week playing videogames now then at any other point of my life.
Whoops, did I imply that I don't play a lot video games? Because that's certainly not the case! I just have grown into so many hobbies and responsibilities. And my situation concurs with yours; being a gamer since potty training days, I have played more games in the past 5 years than I think I have the rest of the previous years combined. Hence, my laughable backlog of $16 games.

I just cruised through Best Buy in hopes that they put out some NES Classics early (leaving for vacation tonight so I'll miss the opportunity to stand in line) and found Yakuza Kiwami steel book on sale for $9.99. Still $18.99 online, so YMMV.
