I would jump on these sports if not for one thing: only about 30% of the game's data is on the card and you need to download the rest...like over 20gb. Good lord! I hope Nintendo starts making bigger cartridges or I just cant have these bulky sports games on Switch.

Want Detective Pikachu but idk what to pair it with... Maybe monster hunter stories?

They can but prices for the cart are too high. Even 32GB wouldn’t solve it and it would add $10 per copy of the game.

Third parties can’t afford to pay that so they go the download route and Nintendo can’t subsidize it or else they’d be out tens if not hundreds of millions

On topic: forgot Red Faction was getting remastered. Gonna pick it up

Oh, I'm well aware of the reality of the business and financial situation. I'm just explaining the reality as it applies to customers. Sucks for them, also sucks for us. If I can't physically put sports games on my Switch, it doesn't really matter how cheap or good the games are. That's a problem they need to sort out. Maybe Nintendo should stop price gouging 3rd parties, for starters. Maybe take a bigger cut of game sales instead of profiting off proprietary game carts.

Likely will buy Samus Returns and something else if it's in the sale. These are sadly the best times to get 3DS games on sale (Nintendo published to be exact), and will miss it when it's not great and doesn't stack with GCU.

I'm curious to see what 3DS games are included. I've been wanting to bulk up my 3DS RPG collection while they're still easy to find. Hoping Strange Redux, Ever Oasis, Alliance Alive, and Monster Hunter Stories are a part of it.

It will only be Nintendo published games like always. I just noticed in the fine print that Sushi Striker is excluded. Added that to OP.

In your list, Ever Oasis and Monster Hunter Stories should both be part of the sale as they have been in the past.

Man, they really don't want to sell Sushi Striker. I can't imagine its been a big seller at the current price.

Yea I saw that and no Metroid which was shocking. I also don’t see the half off it should be $16 when you have GCU but It may be different
Yeah, GCU isn't working on the second game right now. Or I should say it isn't working fully. It is taking off $0.39 additional (making the price of the second game $19.60). In these deals in the past the 2nd game always ran up for $15.99 so seems like once again they are looking for ways to remove GCU from purchases.

Is it a deal breaker for me? Right now that means I am paying $27.54 for each $39.99 game after taxes whereas under the old way with GCU it was $25.43 per game. A small difference but I'm probaby going to hold off on the small chance they actually fix it so GCU comes off on the second game correctly.

Oops. Auto correct strikes again. I'll leave it be since it's a funny typo.

The Buy 1 Get 1 50% doesn't stack well with GCU. There's only an extra 40 cents discount on the 50% off game.
I noticed this in my cart. From 20 to 19.60. Is this a mistake? Shouldn't it be 16?

Good Morning America reported that Best Buy will stop selling CDs today. I don't know if that means that they will discount them at any point.

I've always wondered who the hell is still buying CDs because I even see elderly people using pandora and iPods and stuff. Haven't seen a Walkman since the early 2000s.

Best Buy will continue carrying vinyl for the next two years though. Between this and the end of GCU, I don't understand their business practices.

I actually still get some cds from time to time. They usually also have a instant digital download option. All my cds still get ripped into a digital format to put on my phone or flash drive, but the physical media is still nice to have when in your in a vehicle that only has that option. They are still required for purchase when visiting a live bands autograph booth lol.
I don't think you can beat the digital sale options I have seen from Google and Amazon though.

They actually fixed it. There's an extra $0.31 discount now making the second game $15.68.

I still buy CDs because my car doesn't even have a AUX port, and it's a way to help bands, as even if they don't see much from the purchase, first week sales help them secure better tours and promotions and whatnot.

I still buy CDs. I don't understand digital people...unless you keep up with backup archives, you could lose that music at any moment. I have several digital songs and albums I bought via Amazon that I can no longer download for whatever reason.

I keep the CDs in storage and have a backup archive ripped in both FLAC and 320kbps MP3 via dbpoweramp; keep a copy if the mp3 archive on my phone as my primary music player. So, do I use the CDs much? No...but they have tangible value, and serve as hard copy backup.

If somehow every streaming service in the world goes down and I lose all access to my music and am not able to download it elsewhere, being able to play a CD is going to be the least of my worries because the whole internet is crashing and the world is ending.

Thanks for the heads up. Took me almost an hour to explain to the rep on chat but I finally managed to get my $3.92 back from my order this morning when the GCU wasn’t applied correctly. Should have just waited and ordered this evening. :/
