Are these only playable during the listed time period, or just obtainable then, and playable at your leisure afterwards?

Excited about Tacoma, QUBE 2 & Pillars.

I'm pretty excited for Battle Chef, Gonner and Observer. I'd be excited for Pillars and Tyranny except I know I'll probably never get around to putting any real time into them.

Argh...forced you to install Twitch desktop app. So I'm assuming they make you play it through the app, meaning yet another PC game launcher for me to manage -_-

If you have prime, just connect your amazon account to your twitch and they're all pc games.

Also, I believe after you install it, there's no need to use the launcher. Just download the games and add them to your Steam as a non-Steam game if you want.

Anybody having trouble opening the Twitch app? I know you don't need that to claim the games.

I've been trying to open it and I don't get any response.

whats the issue? I remember in the 90s each game was separate... don't even get me started on dos games.

A few on that list I don't have but have wanted to buy...good thing I didn't buy Tyranny the other day!  Thanks for the heads up!  Now I just need to remember to log on right when I get back from my trip!

Tyranny, Red Strings Club, and Battle Chef I will try out of these. Framed is alright and is a quick puzzle type game, which I played some on my phone, but it's good for being free. Got it free there as well.

Sure, but people tend to gravitate to the games they spent money on. I have tons of PS Plus games I'll never play but claim because why not. If I was poor and 13 I'd be in heaven.
I'm more critical of things I pay money for, and my expectations go higher the more I pay. So naturally, I'm more inclined to download and play games I get for free than the 6000+ games I've paid money for and haven't touched.

The caveat here is that these games are on a Twitch client. It's good promotional material for people who use Twitch and plan on streaming these games, but having yet another client to download games on is a pain in the ass for the rest of us.

In the 90s I owned maybe five games that I played with any regularity. And DOOM, Sim City 2000 & Civ II took up 90% of that play time anyway.

I've been playing Battle Chef and really liking it. I think it might only be the second game from Twitch I really played. I beat Steamworld Dig 2 and loved it, but have had trouble motivating myself to play the other games in my library.

Oh, yeah, I also played about an hour of Gonner, but couldn't really get into it. It seems fine, but nothing really pulling me back to it.

Framed is only available through today according to the Twitch Prime Loot redemption page so make sure you claim it if you want it, despite what my drawing, the OP, and every website shows.  Also, here's next month's games according to Gamespot:

Games for Twitch Prime members in August 2018
Antihero
Death Squared
Jotun
SteamWorld Dig
Wizardry Bundle (featuring Wizardry 6, 7, and 8)
