Does the Infinity War 4k steelbook include the Blu-ray too? I couldn't quite tell from the website.
It does. That's the only way to watch the extras on the majority of 4K releases.

Do stores have a card for the digital card for the new Destiny expansion?
There are preorder cards in stores but they only have PS4 skus. Gotta love Sony's marketing strong-arming Activision into pretending the Xbox version doesn't even exist. ;)

Would GCU work on the expansion cards for Destiny 2?

Is it me or are movies coming to bluray/etc quicker than ever. Swear avengers was still in theaters like 2-3 weeks ago

Tyrok, is that a typo or is BfA not releasing on Monday? Blizz is doing their whole "lets wreck everyone's schedule" and releasing it at 3PM PDT on Monday. Really fucking stupid if people who want physical have to wait an entire day to play but Blizz is pretty bad at this after 14 years I suppose. . .

They’re definitely released a lot quicker now. They used to release almost a year after the initial theater release. I think there are so many more films released these days, that they need to release them physically before the hype dies down too much. Also, they want to cash in on releasing them on streaming platforms like Netflix, so they double and triple dip as quickly as possible.

Do you get your GCU suspended at 3 copies or after 3 copies?
After. But dont get any grand ideas of buying 10 copies and going out in a blaze of glory, ha ha. It seems Best Buy nukes your whole rewards account if they revoke your GCU.

GTAV is such an anomaly to me and how it has held its price for so long. I would buy it at $16 except for the fact that so many new games are about to hit. And while my purchase matters not at all, it’s too little too late for me on this one. Maybe if it was $10 before GCU.

Not sure what is going to happen. The box they came in say 8/13 but the website says 8/14.

The online has been getting constant updates since launch and there haven't been a ton of stand out games this gen imo. That's why I think it continues to sell and held its value so long.

Fair point, but I think it can have a detrimental effect as well. If I just saw it in theaters a week or two ago, I might be inclined to skip it at release and forget about it down the line. I can see both sides.

I'm inclined to think it's due to piracy more than anything else. I remember reading a few years back that they started the quick turnaround in places like China and Russia to compete with the bootleg street sellers, sometimes releasing their own copy while the movie was still in theaters.

Here's hoping. Have the CE preordered and would love to pick it up Monday. Yes, I'm taking off of work to play, I work overnights so I'll be good and ready.

I was wondering about the BfA release for Best Buy, as I have a CE for in-store pickup on preorder. I found this thread on their Community forums:

Hey Everyone –

Our support teams got back to us with an answer ahead of the weekend. In an effort to meet the early US release time, it’s been decided that ship-to-home pre-orders are being shipped out with a Monday delivery date target. That said, there are chances that some people may not receive their order on Monday, and we recommend keeping a close eye on your tracking details over the weekend.

For those of you who pre-ordered for in-store pickup. To ensure inventory is available at all locations, it’s been decided that we will open up purchase and pickup in-store on Tuesday Aug. 14. I know this isn’t the answer many of you were hoping to receive, however, this is being done to ensure orders are not inadvertently cancelled due to inventory being unavailable.

See you in Azeroth,
Bummer, but oh well, I can wait a day since I can't really play until Wednesday anyways.

Owlboy at $25 is a great price, even better at GCU $20! It's that old school gameplay in modern colors. If you like platformers, highly recommended. Especially those retro gamers.

Yes and I love it. I remember when I was a kid it took forever. For example, I saw 3 Ninjas in theaters and was so excited to watch it again on VHS but it took like a year for that to happen.

Looks cool but the issue is price. There are so many damn good full fledged indies at a fraction of that price. I'm holding out for $10/15. Not saying it isn't worth the price, just pointing out the competition.

Word, I'll hit up our store tomorrow and see what they say.

So they're holding it back due to logistics? I don't understand why this wasn't handled better because past releases have always been coordinated just fine, especially when there's a change in the launch timing. This has been common knowledge for at least a month now, zero excuse.

I'm still going to the store and having them pull one from back because that's dumb IMO.

Don't feel bad. My CE was preordered two months ago with ship to home. It hasn't even shipped yet. I called BB just a moment ago and they said I could expect it late tomorrow. I'm a bit anxious to be honest because they didn't get Legion to me until 8 days after release. Between Blizzard stripping down the collector editions of loot while upping the price simultaneously, I think I may just throw in the towel after this one and buy digital deluxe like Blizzard is pushing and prodding us to do just to avoid this crap.

Is Xcom 2 Collection's DLC on disc, or is it just a season pass code?

Kinda happy to see the return of two disc games even if they are just installs. Fond memories of games like that on ps1 though obviously there are better ways of distributing content now.

Not really sure who to blame on this one TBH. I sort of doubt Blizz had trouble getting retail boxes to stores in time so I'm leaning towards BB blew it on this one. They let me down today as well since I went to the store in search of a copy to play today. They fought me tooth and nail because of the release date on the website and it earned them a cancellation. Asked them to check their inventory for the sticker stating the release date: didn't care because of what the website said. Tried to tell them competitors were already selling them and it could be considered breaking street if they wanted to put it down as such: he didn't care; brainwashed by website date. Told him he was literally losing a sale of 2x copies and walked out.

Now I don't know about you but when I worked retail I knew that the street date was only as good as being competitive with other stores and if shit started getting sold early, you broke street after a call to your manager. It was FAR easier to explain breaking street on a game (which in this case wasn't even relevant but for the sake of this retard. . .) than it was losing an MST (Multi-SKU Transaction). Sometimes I wish I had been in charge of training these knuckleheads because they're so clueless. So well done BB, you lost $160 today and a strike against the record. Once my GCU is up, you may be losing more business in the future.

Oh and the expansion is actually really fucking good for once. I never got a chance to play WotLK but if I had, I'd imagine this was up there. We're having a blast so far. ;)
