Saw this at my local Gamestop. This might not be going on at all GS stores. I was told it's a beta promotion going on in select GS B&M areas.

http://www.gamestop.com/powerupmission

Basically you get a card at GS and register the code at powerupbonus.com.

Each time you complete one of the 4 missions, you get a reward. If you complete all 4 missions by Nov. 18, you get a $65 rewards coupon.

The missions are:

1. Trade in 4 games valued $10, must have $2.99+ base TIV each (get $10 off one preowned game coupon)

2. Buy 3 preowned games valued $14.99 total, must be $4.99+ each (get $10 off one preowned game coupon)

3. Buy $40 in collectibles, can be completed in multiple transactions (get $10 off one preowned game coupon)

4. Redeem points in the rewards center (get 5,000 rewards points)

A $65 Rewards Cash coupon will be delivered to your PowerUp Account Active Offers within 48-72 hours after all 4 missions have been completed.

Assuming it applies towards clearance items, you could easily hit $40 in collectibles for stocking stuffers/holiday gifts. Not nearly as bad as some of you are making it out to be.

Does "collectibles" include their board games and what not?  Because they do carry some decent games, including some that were on clearance last time I looked (pandemic, for instance, at the cheapest price I've ever seen).  Plus the 75% off t-shirts that they had (have?) going.  Can always use a one or two dollar shirt, no matter what's on it.

$40 in collectables kinda sux, if only we could trade those back too.
With them starting to carry more and more NECA figures, and NECA releasing some killer stuff lately (the 1990 and 2017 Pennywise figures in particular), I've recently been purchasing figures for the first time since before the recession.

Judging from their website, "Card and Board Games" fall under Collectibles.

Will check out my local stores for codes today but the east coast never seeme to be in on these kinds of things.

Buying WWE Monopoly or some crap for $40 trade credit and getting $100 back ain’t bad. All those games they force you to buy might trade in for more than they sell for.

I'd definitely go out of my way for this, including collectibles. Anyone know how many stores are participating? I just gotta hunt down some garbage games to trade...

Hopefully this is at all Gamestop's, good deal and would give me a reason to finally spend credit on Monopoly Gamer Mario Kart edition.

Most of the Gamestops I've been in since 2017 are almost entirely collectibles now. All the games are pushed to the back third of the store with walls of Funko where Xbox games used to be. It all looks pretty trashy.

You could probably just do the last one and get a free $5 certificate out of it if you don't want to deal with the collectibles mission.

Look for a code to start this If anyone is willing to share.

Don't know if my local store has them, but I will check after work.

Yeah I'm not seeing where the codes go, it's just a webpage with a wall of text. Went to 5 stores on the lower east coast and no one had even heard of this promo. Would be sick if it came here but probably can't get in on it unless some kind soul finds a bunch of codes.

Anyone got an extra code let me know. I have stuff to trade with as well :) Im on the east coast so I don't think I will be able to get anyone over here anyways. Thanks in advance.

Powerupbonus.com is live for you? I tried 2 different browsers and nothing. Are you sure you're not talking about the promo page?

I'd do this. I initially balked at the collectables requirement but then I thought I'd buy $40 worth of Yoshi plushies or something and put them in the Toys For Tots bin we put out at work every Christmas.

So cacluclating the net gains and losses for all of this:

Lose 1 game (trade in 4 and buy 3)
Lose $55 at least (buy $15 games and $40 collectibles)
Gain $10 store credit (from 4 trade ins)
Gain collectibles (woo)
Gain $100 of coupons (to be used over 4 different games and one collectible)
Plus whatever else is needed for your 5000 reward points

I guess it could be worth it if you’re already trading in some games. The large factor is what it takes to get 5000 reward points for each person.

Hmm, I am a bit confused about these quests. The website says one thing and the email you get for signing up has completely different criteria for the missions. I wonder which is accurate.

I wanna do this but I sure af don't have any games to trade in...I guess I could buy some elsewhere and blah blah but ugh. What a pain. If it was any 4 games I'd run to the consignment shop and get some $1 madden shit but I dunno if I wanna mess around with the rest.

You dont have to redeem 5,000. You'll get 5,000 for redeeming any amount. At least that's what I got out of reading it.

With all those transactions you'd easily get to 5,000 anyway, right?

Ah my mistake. That should be relatively easy then right?

Yeah, Already received both $10 off pre-owned coupons (They have slightly different wording but its just $10 off 1 title), got the 5,000 points deposited, just waiting on my Collectibles coupon and the Active Offers of the $65 to post to my account from Saturday. Did the other stuff on Wednesday and the pre-owned coupons didn't post until Saturday whereas the 5,000 points was the next day. Epic Quest already completed.

Damn, nice. Good to know. I'm curious what the expiration date on the $65 coupon is. Will probably hold off on completing everything until near the end of next month if its only a month long like some that I've gotten. Hoping to finish up the rest of my quests with the approaching prestige day!
