My store still has 140 of these. I can wait. :D

Damn, they really expected this half-assed product to fly off the shelves. I hope this whole thing taught Sony a lesson.

For reference with the NES and SNES Classics at TRU, I think the total number we received of each system didn't quite hit 140 from release through the last holiday season the company was open.

The lesson they'll learn from it isn't the one they should learn. They'll probably stop making mini consoles because they think there's no interest in them. Doubt they'll release a PS Classic 2.0 with better controllers, better games, better emulator, etc.

The best call I ever made in 2018 was canceling my PO.

Have this price matched at Best buy for pickup including $25 gc. Still considering not picking up for $35+tax. Think it would better to get an overpriced PS tv from eBay. Then again I have backwards compatible ps3 and I can play ps1 on vita ... Ok I convinced myself I don't need this.

Word going around is Sony stopped production of these after it not selling as well as they hoped, hence the price cut. I doubt they will restock these after the Holidays.

Time to rape Target for the eventual price-gouging on eBay once it's rare? Huehuehue.

It makes sense to stop production on these when some stores are sitting on 150 copies per location that aren't selling.

I got one for Christmas and will say it’s not bad. No where near what SNES/NES is and totally not worth MSRP but not terrible. Also I agree that they should stop production as there are tons of these things sitting around nearly every store around here.

I went to Fry's today and they had 2 shelves filled with them, that's even after a $49.99 price after promo code.

Went into BB today and Price Adjusted for the 3rd time ($25 GC to BB, $25 PM to Amazon) to the 59.99, so I got $15 back on third gift card, in total got back $65.  Decided to use it on another PS classic, so picked it up for about $20 because it was open box and used the 2 other gift cards.  Gave one to my oldest son who has been loving playing the old school games.  I always laugh when my two boys say the old games are harder, and I reply yes, we didn't have save points every 5 seconds (too much coddling of millennials).  I know a lot of people hate these, but overall if you get it for around $50 and under its a good deal.  Now, just learning how to expand the library.

Got one for $55 price matching B&H at Best buy, was waiting for under $50 but didn't feel like hunting for it if it got slashed in price again.

Hate is a little strong. I think people are justifiably reacting to the mentality Sony obviously had in rushing it out - and the price - but I think most would admit it's a solid little machine on its own merits. And for $60 or less.

I'm just happy to see SO MANY still sitting there even after $59.99. Definitely waiting for the $25 fire sale.

I think the hate is pretty justified. Sony doesn't learn unless something flops hard anyway. I warned people to not pre order this POS in the niche thread long ago for the poor game selection and lack of dualshock support.

Sony doesn't learn, period. This release is emblematic of their return to the attitude they had pre-PS4: when they had supposedly learned something.

It’s crazy - how hard can it have been to add this emulation to an updated version of core PSTV, in this classic looking box and support things like remote play properly. They probably would have sold more of these alone than XB1s at Xmas.

There’s so many of these at a bunch of retailers and I’m honestly getting tired of seeing it. I’ll wait till it’s free on ps plus

BleemSync and RetroArch work pretty well on it so far, still beta so expect bugs. As others have stated Retropie is probably a better way to go, which doesn't take much more effort compared to modding the PSC. I set one up this past weekend and it works great.

Rumor has that when PS5 preorders start you get a Playstation Classic as a gift just for preordering.

They could enabled/added bluetooth support and allowed you to optionally use your PS4 dualshock controller.

They already make a device that can do that.

Once it get OTG support so people stop guessing which USB works, and or power hub nonsense.

It'll be at least a little more appealing, 40 or under

I don't see this being as popular as the NES Classic was. Higher price point and the game selection so far won't do anything for parents shopping for their kids. Your average soccer mom or football dad knows Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Kirby from their childhood and thought it would be cool to show their kids what they used to play.

Crash and Spyro getting remasters really hurt this things potential selling power imo since those are the mascots people associate most with PS1.

Johnny few if anyone brought the NES mini for there kids they got it for themselves.Come on the kids of this generation don’t want to play games with those graphics so mascots has Nothing to do with its sales it sold because if it’s great games and the history of the system.

Based on the reviews the input lag using a wireless controller is pretty bad.
