Electrical Knowledge Help! New Capacitor or LCD/LED?

Ok, so I've already replaced the TV with a new one, and moved this tv to my room once the symptoms started showing.

Now they are getting worse, a 3rd of the screen has a constant black/fading flicker and I am trying to figure out if it's the LED/LCD bulbs dying, or a capacitor problem.

I'd like to try and fix the tv one day, since parts are available and cheap and wanted advice was all..

At first the flickering would last an hour or two, but now it's almost constant.

 
Your first step is to remove the back paneling and disconnect the LVDS cable (should be the only ribbon cable) from the main/T-CON boards. If the lights aren't flickering anymore, then it's one of the boards (I'd buy a replacement board instead of soldering on new transistors). If they're still flickering, then there's something wrong with your LED's and you'll have to replace those. If none of that works, then it's the TV panel itself.

The way yours flickers in a line makes me think that a row of LED's in the back is out. My guess is that you'll have to pop out that row and replace them with new ones. But that doesn't address the random shutoffs. Good luck man.

It's not random shut offs.. it's the way it shuts off.. instead of turning off.. the screen more or less.. melts (Visually, not physically)

Yea, I was just gonna grab a new board if it was the capacitors.... the TV is from 2013, and should not be having this issue.

The only reason I thought it was the capacitors, when the problem first began.. after an hour of being on, the flickering would stop. Now it's more or less constant.
