Good ol' Best Buy is always here to remind us what the MSRP of a video game is.
And here we thought they might have some decent sales once they axed GCU. Nope, they just don’t want anyone’s business anymore.

I haven’t shopped there nearly as much lately, but I enjoy having them for their random good deal. So I hope they’re not stupid enough to put themselves out of business. Last I checked they were doing ok. I hope it stays that way, but if they don’t stay competitive I don’t see how they will.

when do BF ads usually start to leak?

Damn Ubisoft for cashing in on my love for Starfox. I saw the Arwing in the back and it looks awesome! I would really love to pick up Starlink on Switch eventually. Hopefully it goes on sale during the holidays :\

I keep hoping the prices on 4Ks will gradually go down and every week when a new release comes out....$30. Ugh
The $30 price tag for 4K has kept me from buying more movies this year. Hoping BF brings good deals for Solo, Jurassic, Avengers, Black Panther, and Deadpool to name a few. They’d probably still be sitting in my backlog anyways if I bought them on release week.

Best buy out of business because of no video game sales? How much profit you think stores make with games, not much. Places axed gaming deals because they were losing money. Bestbuy is a electronics store, gaming takes up about 10 % of their stores

Thanks for the head up, Tyrok.

Pretty rough for good deals so far. Hopefully there will be some good weeks closer to the holidays.

Agreed, $30 is too high and there being a $35 steelbook announced the day a movie hits theaters is one of the most annoying trends lately. I haven't bought a single new disc this year, just a few codes.

I've started buying more titles from EBay as of late. You can sell the code to make your purchase cheaper, I also utilize shopkicks and Bestbuy rewards to earn giftcard regularly to bring the prices down. I'm over 100 titles and you can check out my collection on youtube(Slim910)

Just realized with no more GCU I also don't get 10% extra trade in bonus. They still have some deals but even more of a reason to not go there for me.

No GCU, No Amzn release date discount and No Pur Elites means ebay will likely be the new place to go for cheap videogames, again..

Sounds like the big three realized digital is so inevitable that anyone still buying physical might as well be milked the whole $60, and anyone still buying from Target and Walmart can’t be persuaded to go anywhere else for the minimally profitable $48.

There is currently a free $10 gift card offer with this game (though it may be for preorder only, not sure).

Also, there is a Switch version too, with a release date of 10/16 (unless that got delayed).

Not sure if it's still on the site, but Starlink: Battle for Atlas had a preorder promo that also got you an extra figure.

If you still have access to GCU, $60 for the Switch version (with the Arwing, a Fox figure and the normal main character figure) plus an additional third figure isn't a completely awful price.

I can’t believe the PSN/XBOX digital deals have completely surpassed Best Buy at this point (even with GCU). I mean... it’s not even close.

Bestbuy sales are the best they have been in years. You Guys really are cheep asses his finding a better job or a part time instead of complaining about a company trying to make going against Amazon and Walmart who are killing brick and mortar. And I use to work in retail years ago and that don’t make much profits off of games, movie or cds they normally sell them at a low price hopeful that they sell enough to make a profit on them,

I’m sorry my phone messed the first statement up.Instead of complaining get a better job or a second so you can stop complaining about prices when a company is trying to stay alive and not give games always without making hardly any profit off of them.

Really wonder how limited that dark souls trilogy is gonna be. Might not pre order it and wait for a price drop or black friday

Not sure if this allowed l, but I've bought almost all the newer 4k movies this year(marvel, etc). I don't use the digital codes so I'd be willing to sell them to anyone that wants them that doesn't want to pay full price for a movie.

Legendary Fishing is on sale for $19.99 for PS4 and Switch.

Does anyone have any opinions on this game?  It looks a little like Sega Bass Fishing and I played the hell out of that back in the day.  Of course that was nearly 20 years ago.

Its allowed. There is a trade thread.

I believe it's the 2017 model but it works great for me. I ended up buying two. One for the living room and another for the game room.
That's actually the type I wanted was the qled and roughly the same size. Anything higher than that I might have to get a new stand.
I will be using it for games and movies/tv.
Did you notice any difference in performance using the apps on the TV compared to a console?

I’ve only used the Netflix app on the TV so far and the streaming and picture quality look fantastic. I've been gaming with Spider-Man and Assassin's Creed Odyssey and no complaints from me. But then again I upgraded from a three year old 1080p Samsung from Black Friday so anything is better than that lol.

It mentions the steelbook in the product description. There is also a picture of the steelbook (2nd picture).
interesting...makes no mention of it in mobile, and there's only one image in which i couldnt make out if it was steelbook or not. thanks.

I feel no reason to laud Best Buy.
While GCU was a thing, I did.
Sure, average deals weren't amazing, but average deals plus GCU were best on the market. Now? Meh. As soon as my GCU expires, Best Buy will have the same prices as everyone else, and I don't care how hard they're working to "make a go" at fighting off Amazon and Walmart... just like they didn't shed a tear when Circuit City and Media Play went out of business.

If they're not specifically adding value for me, they're done nothing to establish "brand loyalty".
They're not the best at customer service. They're not the most knowledgeable about the product lines they sell.
The only real value they provide for me is "Show-rooming", and pretty much all their competition does that equally as well.

I preordered 3 just in case. Doubt it'll be something that'll be restocked like the Elder Scrolls Anthology or Fallout Anthology (I know, different company) weren't. Can't imagine stores are going to get more beyond preorders too.

I'm actually going to cancel my SC6 preorder at BB and get it at Target. It comes with socks. I'm not even joking.

If it’s gonna be as limited as Naruto Storm legacy collection I might pre order one

Tempted to get Dark Souls Trilogy and cancel my pre-order on the Switch version. I have all of the games already though and I know I only want the Trilogy for the collectors' aspect.

I also want Soul Calibur VI, but I have a feeling that it will drop in price quickly. Releasing between Black Ops and Red Dead, I can't imagine any new release will sell well right now that isn't Black Ops or Red Dead.
