Maybe it's just me but it seems like deals aren't as good as last year. If I remember correctly, last year was actually pretty dang good. This year just seem meh.

GameStop and the unadvertised Target games were the best last year so there is still hope.

Lesser quality products, there is a reason those TVs are $350-$500, they aren't very good. If you want to upgrade to 4k, do it right so you can experience true 4k.

And the reason is?

They lack a wide color gamut. More importantly, they either have no local dimming or the impliementation of the local dimming feature is basically worthless making any claims of HDR nothing more than a marketing gimmick. For what it's worth, until last year and my desire to make the most of my PS4 Pro and X1 X purchases, I jumped at cheap Black Friday TVs.

Best bang for you buck tv is the TCL P series not the S series. Has HDR and Dolby Vision and low input lag.

Definitely getting DB FighterZ and Burnout. Nier and ZoE and probables. Might grab Ni No Kuni II as well but I feel like I’ll be able to get it at that price again in a few months pretty easily. Platted the first one and looooved it.

So there are a lot of sound bars on sale everywhere and im wanting to grab two. Never used a sound bar still stuck with wired 5 speaker surround sound systems but wanted to switch to remove wires. Any advice on which models are good or even just which brand is generally better? Im a Samsung guy but will buy whatever performs best.

I think the same thing happened last year. I snagged one the following Sunday for $350 at Best Buy + free Destiny 2. It was a random deal. I notice more and more of that happening, where the Saturday/Sunday after, new deals pop up right before Cyber Monday. I think that'll be happening again.

The restriction of GCU on BF only started two years ago. Prior to that, it definitely applied year-round.

Last time I actually went to a store for Black Friday was when they had that GTA V/Last of Us PS4 bundle in 2014. There was a mountain of consoles behind the cashiers. I didn't line up at all, just went in right after it opened and got the bundle. There were plenty left afterward. I returned it later because Target had a way better cartwheel deal on PS4s not too long after that. And I made sure to redeem the Last of Us remastered code before doing so. Nobody noticed or cared, they just wanted the GTA V disc. I live in Manhattan though so YMMV, they get tons of stock in the city and the lines are reasonable. No zombie apocalypse stuff going on here, things are civil for the most part.
