Prepare for Taco Bell Xbox One X Giveaway!

Damn man I REALLY want the white xbox one x. I'm in! So I actually wanted to know how people were getting the email codes in the past. They were sending like 400 postcards in the mail and getting codes to redeem. I wanna do that since I have no desire to gain 20 lbs in the process...

There is a limit of 32 codes that way and youll need to send them asap or else by the time they get your cards and then send you the codes, youll have less time to use. You can always use family addresses and their phone numbers and then send out more than 32, but be wary of the time frame or else it will be a waste of your effort. Plus is a platinum console which looks to be silver? I think?

Running the promo a little late this year. I was starting to think they were skipping a year.
I know I was wondering that as well.

Note to everyone, the rules look to not mention the free code that is give half way through the contest. It only mentions the box codes and the mail in codes. :(

A “day” is defined as starting at 12:00:00 AM PT and ending at 11:59:59 PM PT on a calendar day, except for the last day of the Game, which shall end at 8:59:59 PM PT.

Yeah I saw that wording and noticed that in HOW TO OBTAIN a code, it mentions that there is three methods with it currently listing only 2 methods. So I guess theyll udpate it at a later time:

3. HOW TO OBTAIN CODE

An eligible entrant may obtain an entry code (“Code”) using one (1) of the following three (3) methods (some methods are only available during specific time periods, as noted below). Entrants may only obtain Codes either through a legitimate restaurant purchase or for free as described below. Codes may not be sold, bartered, or transferred. Codes are void if not obtained through authorized means. Each Code is valid for one (1) Game Play, as defined in Section 4, during the Game Period.

  1. Make a Purchase: During the Game Period, an eligible consumer who purchases the Taco Bell Xbox $5 Box from a participating Taco Bell restaurant, while supplies last, will receive one (1) Code printed on the Taco Bell Box. Not all Taco Bell restaurants will participate in the Game.
  2. Without a Purchase (Mail-In Code Request): To obtain a Code without making a purchase from October 5, 2018 to November 12, 2018, an eligible consumer must legibly hand write his/her full name (no initials), complete street address (no P.O. Box), age, and valid e-mail address on a 3½” x 5” properly stamped postcard and mail it to: Taco Bell® and Xbox® Game Code Request, P.O. Box 251328, West Bloomfield, MI 48325. Requests sent in an envelope will not be accepted. Mail-in requests must be postmarked by November 12, 2018 and received by November 18, 2018. Administrator will send one (1) Code by e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the request. Limit thirty-two (32) total Codes per person/email address via Mail-In Code Request. Mail-in requests will not be returned and no further correspondence will be entered into. Mail-in requests must be original and hand-written. No mechanical reproductions are allowed.

One good thing I noticed. In previous competitions, you were allowed to enter once per day. Either online OR text. This time it seems to say once per day PER entry method. Once online. Once by text.

It'll be impossible to get free mail in codes in time.  Previously it took weeks and the ones requested at the start barely got there in time.  They cleverly claim in the rules that we could've started requesting via mail on Oct 5, but the rules weren't posted anywhere until today.

Yeah, I caught that too.

They're really screwing people over... starting the giveaway tomorrow not allowing people to get a chance at "No Purchase Necessary" methods... Last year they only gave me codes for half of my postcards and that was when the free online code was live.

I noticed that too, but wouldn't the third way be the online code that is reusable? It's a little confusing.

Dang this is for a Platinum colored Xbox One X... now I REALLY want it. I went over today and got a code and an extra from my coworker. Let's see if I can finally catch this damn white whale...

If anyone enters a code and wins/loses please post your day and time!
I will update when I use these codes. I HAVE learned over the years NOT to use your code at lunch time. It's almost a guaranteed loss if you do that since so many people also do it, and it is that fraction of a second that someone else entered the code before you that causes that. I will try it around 4pm CST and update.

Curious as well to see win times as I wonder when is best if they're open until 2 am cst would that make 5am-8am good as no taco bells are selling boxes? Unsure when is the idea time or if there is one.

MOST that I have seen that post here have won in the wee hours of the morning. I don't really feel like staying up THAT late, but I will probably put my codes in around 10ish or 11. If I remember correctly, The 10 minute timer resets on the 0; I.E. 11:20, 12:50, etc. I don't know the algorithm OR if this is even tru, but it sounds logical. You literally have fractions of a second to put the code in. Depending on where you are or if you're on WIFI, there could be a little bit of a latency delay, which is why I think I haven't yet won.

interesting so you are saying that you need to enter the code and be the first when the 10 minutes resets. If that's true I've been doing it wrong every time lol.

My first code I tried to redeem at 3:10, but then the damn "Text back YES to accept rule s" shit pops up and I had to accept. Oce all that was said and done, my entry was at 3:11 and was a no go. My 2nd one in going to try tonight at 11:00 on the nose to get on my wife's phone.

The mobile app or online ordering is really helpful in that you can easily make substitutions, like swapping hard taco for soft taco, or swapping those garbage cinnamon twists for chips and guac or chips and something else.

No go at 3:20am CST.

Are people logging in, presetting their code and wait for the clock to hit a certain time to hit enter?

Thats exactly what I am doing, using the browser and awaiting the exact 10 minute time. I have had two losses, 1:20 AM EST and 7:50 AM EST . I may try that a few more days then go back to the random minutes.

Bought four boxes and lost all attempts this morning. Feeling very bummed out and probably won't play much more now that the odds are lower and lower each day.

My stomach lol,so I have given in to telling the cashier I literally just want the box no food. But I know for a fact now that you can enter via text and online within the same 24hr period. 4:00 am loss, 4:14 am loss, 7:00 am loss, 7:16 am loss . All Eastern time. 0/6 trying to decide at what point I just wait for a good deal over the holidays on a white xbox one x. I am filling out the survey every time I go though so maybe I'll win that lol.

i thought we were supposed to get a special box when u order? i got a plain brown box... isnt the code on the box?
they gave you the wrong box, the box with the code has an xbox one x on it. I've had trouble more so than other years with them go long the wrong box or putting the food in a bag.

Always get your box inside.  While you are there, glance in the trashcans.  If you see a box, eat your box there, then throw it out and WOOPS YOU FORGOT TO TEAR YOUR CODE OFF and grab the other box.

I've gotten 3 free codes using this entirely not too good for you strategy.
