Best Buy lowered the price on all of the older PS4 PlayLink titles to $4.99 each ($3.99 if you still have GCU).  Additionally, you can save another $1 off each one if you change your order from shipping to in-store pickup during checkout.  So, if you still have GCU these can be $2.99 each.

I wouldn't mind playing through Hidden Agenda for Katie Cassidy, especially at that price, but it having no dual shock support makes it a hard pass.

Yes, I'm that one guy without a smartphone and doesn't want to sideload the app to my Fire HD.

Same here, I would love to play that game but I don't have or want a smart phone either.

I just ordered Singstar Celebration for my wife.  $2.99 (!) + tax after GCU and in-store pickup.  Since it looks like the entire Singstar library is available as DLC (right?), she's going to lose her mind when she sees Kate Nash songs on there.

Edit - actually, I don't see Kate Nash listed on singstar.com anymore, so I cancelled my order.

That's a shame. I remember owning/buying Kate Nash songs for the PS3 versions of Singstar.

I hope your marriage doesn't end now.

Hidden Agenda is pretty cool, it's like a scaled down version of Heavy Rain with way better graphics.  Going for the platinum requires seeing a lot of the scenes again and again, which surprisingly I didn't mind due to the characters.

I wish it just had normal controls instead of Playlink though, since using a mobile device to do the swipes is pretty laggy/unresponsive and got my character killed on more than one occasion (the most painful being the 0.5 second QTE at the very very end where I almost made it to a good ending naturally on my initial playthrough, but botched so I got one of the bad endings).

the girl from GLOW?

Would a smartphone or tablet from like 10 years ago work with these titles?  My OCD, doesn't want me to use my current phone/tablet.

These games uses an app? Why couldn't they do what jackbox does and just make it run on the browser?
Probably for more efficiency. With the app everything is downloaded and doesn't need to be loaded so the only thing to worry about is latency with your internet connection. Jackbox is really just point and click games but doesn't have all the information that the PlayLink app stores like bios, extra mission info, alternative objectives between users, etc.

These apps do take up a good 250MB+ which is a lot for one web page to constantly load between scenes.

Just my guess though.

Best way to find out would be to check out the app compatibility in the google play store or app store, but my last phone that was maybe 3-ish years old wouldn't work with the apps, so my guess would be no.

I ordered Hidden Agenda and the quiz game thinking it may be fun to play with people. Not getting the Singing game or the other one that looks like trash.

oh ok, at 250mb ya these games must be much more involved than jackbox

Is it? I just logged into my PS4 and see Friday the 13th, laser league, 2064, Rocketbirds, and the bridge.
It's not one of the monthly free games. It's an extended-time free game for Plus members until November 6th. If you go to the game page, you can download it.

That's You is a very fun game with company. Basically they are 10 minute sessions where everyone playing takes a picture of themselves and it asks a series of goofy questions about them, i.e. "Which player is most likely to cheat on a test?"

The catch is that you need friends.

That game was free for Plus members last fall, much like how Knowledge is Power has been free for an extended time this fall.

Guess I've been living under a rock on the pop music scene. Had no idea who Kate Nash was and had to look her up on Google after reading these posts.

Don't feel bad. Unless you live(d) in Europe (mainly the UK) during the mid 2000's, you wouldn't have heard about her in America.

Oddly enough, when I looked her up it also brought up Lily Allen, another UK artist, and I actually remember who Lily Allen was because she had some racy songs in the mid 2000's. I remember a mild bit of controversy came from it.

Lily Allen's songs actually charted in America. Kate didn't have a single song that charted in America on any chart of worth (bubbling singles for one song she did but that doesn't mean much)
