Target Ad.

http://www.thecoupon...-ad-10-28-18/2/

Excludes Red Dead and select Nintendo games.

Well, there goes some ideas (although I was pinning Red Dead as more of a Black Friday title).

Skip COD and AC. You'll feel better if you do.

have you played them yourself?

In for 3 copies of the Bob Ross board game.

Funny you should mention that...I got a gift card for my girlfriend and she picked up Bob Ross: The Art of Chill board game.  It is absolutely a fun and relaxing game.  Very good!  I had no idea it existed!!!

Not First Party, not even really published by Nintendo so you should be okay. I believe it was co-marketed but it is clearly a SE game.

Bayonetta though, could still be on the B2G1 - I expect the exlcusions to be the ‘Big’ Nintendo games like Zelda and Mario & Spinoffs

Octopath is indeed published by Nintendo. Not sure if it’s considered first party for situations like these, but the surefire way to tell if Nintendo published a title is by the UPC. If it starts with 0 45496, then it was published by them. This includes Skyrim, SNK Heroines, Dark Souls, Doom and more. Octopath is the only third party developed title that is an exclusive though...so who knows if it counts or not? Find out Sunday I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm interested in movie prices with this deal. There's plenty that I don't expect to see discounted by the end of the year that I might jump on.

Is there a specific list of the excluded titles floating around out there somewhere? The "all 1st party Switch titles" thing is a very probable assumption, but still an assumption nonetheless.

I must be getting old because I can't read anything about exclusions in the ad either. I'm kinda hoping to get a few 4k movies.

Remember the pro-rating.

Still $40 isn't that great even with not having to keep all 3

Although I won't be participating in this deal, I'm still grabbing my popcorn to read all the scammers and return frauders work their magic on Target.

Here, I'll start.  I would think at the very least, you could go back the next day (who am I kidding, some of you will do it at the same time) and return exchange one of the games for RDR2.

They may get around this with discounted prices on the receipt but who needs a receipt, amirite?

Let's see if Target has stepped up its ant-frauding game up.

Most of what's left that I want is not out or excluded :/ RDR2. Diablo 3 drops on Switch on the 2nd, wonder if that's excluded... Civ 6 Switch not til the 16th. Already got BLOPS4 AC Odyssey and Forza

Could be sweet for some movies depending on price.

Looked at Target's site and tried to forecast for 3 games I might be interested in. Doesn't appear that they even carry Fist of the North Star so that's a downer right off the bat. I'm not seeing the Shadow of War complete edition either. Sheesh.

So I could potentially buy say Black Ops and return/exchange for RDR2?

Called it! Why give the hottest game away in a bundle deal like this? By Target excluding Switch games, last year, why expect the biggest game would be included this year?

Why would anybody buy anything now when everything will be cheaper on Black Friday?

Year after year people fall for the same October buy 2 get 1 free trap.

Because there are always a select few obscure games that get missed during BF sales. The major titles will almost always see a discount, but there always seems to be something that doesn't. A couple of years ago I think it was, I was waiting for a deal on Attack on Titan and it stayed $60 through the holiday. I guess the title was too far under the radar for retailers to bother with. Maybe it was too new. I can't remember. Of course the price went down eventually, but not before Christmas of that year.

Because no CAG worth their salt just goes in and buys 3. We use price matches whenever cust service allows it(always allowed my target), stack cartwheel offers, and there is usually a paper coupon floating around like 5 off 50 or 10 off 100 that comes in the mail. All told, the strategic CAG will meet or beat BF prices on some games and if not, just return titles that are cheaper BF.

You can return for prorated amounts, which can give you additional options.

Also, like Josh said, niche titles wont necessarily be on sale anywhere BF. Target Carrie's some of those.

Finally, half the preorders work online for the deal lol.

You'd be surprised how well you can do here

Because not everything is cheaper on BF. You should read the articles on BF items that get price increases that day.

Hoping preorders work online. I'd like to get Resi 2 and DMC5 for $40 each since Best Buy isn't giving $10 certs for them.

Was really just interested in switch games. This is not a great deal. Buying two $40 titles and getting a 3rd for free brings average of each to $29 after taxes. That's basically 25% off on average. And the digital copies are still lower than that.

Overcooked was recently $9.99 on Nintendo eShop

Shovel Knight is $24.99

And Super Bomberman not worth at $29.

So does the $10 GC for spending 50 apply to the b2g1 game deal?

It’s 33%. You added tax to the discounted games but not to the full price game. With three like-priced games you always save 33%.

Mario and Zelda will be excluded.....cause that's what I want to get ;)
