Target app 20% off any future purchase 11/27/18 - 12/8/18

CAGiversary!
Saw this when I used the Target app today. It doesn't look like video game hardware are excluded. A PS4 Spider-Man 1TB with 20% at 199.99 would be pretty sweet!

Yep, planning to see just what is still on sale for BF/CM pricing, if at all to use it on. If nothing, just household things that don't go on sale often. People often toss these catalina coupons out so you can probably get multiple coupons at the self checkouts.

What I can't figure out is if it's a single purchase, or a SINGLE purchase. Would have a few things to get in one go depending how it works.

Was going to point out that this was already in the Black Friday ad and therefore mentioned - but the Black Friday thread doesn't have it listed specifically.

Couple reminders:
-For the app, you just need to pay using your "wallet" for any amount of 1 cent or more. There's also a physical coupon but you need to spend $50 to obtain a physical 20% off coupon. I'm guessing if you spend $50 within the "wallet" part of your app they will likely hand you a physical coupon too out of habit.
-The physical coupon usually has a code to use online too, and can be used once in store and once online.
-You can do multiple transactions of $50+ to get multiple physical coupons.
-The unfortunate part is that there are exclusions on what you can use your 20% on. Big picture it isn't a lot but for CAGs it's a lot of the good stuff. Going by what exclusions were last year I can say with some level of confidence that exclusions will be: Nintendo hardware and software, Xbox and Playststion hardware (or at least X1X and PS4 Pro), Apple products, Samsung TVs, gift cards or gaming cards if any sort, and any REALLY big new releases like RDR2.

But you can make a huge dent on your grocery bill with that 20% off among the thousands of other products that Target sells so it's definitely worth grabbing a few coupons if you can.

For reference here were the exclusions last year:
*Excludes alcohol, Apple products, Bose, CVS clinic & pharmacy, dairy milk, DSLR cameras & lenses, Duluth Pack, Elf on the Shelf, select games (Cards Against Humanity, Joking Hazard, Exploding Kittens, What Do You Meme, Bears vs. Babies), gift cards, Google products, GoPro, LEGO, LG OLED TV, Mobile contracts, Nintendo hardware & Switch software, Playstation 4, prepaid cards, Pulsar watches, Sonos, Target Optical, Traeger, Tylenol pain relief, Weber, WellieWishers, Xbox One, Xbox One X.

I did this last year when I bought my Fire tablet, then used the coupon on a larger than usual grocery run and did save quite a bit.

Cool, I will use it on some 4K movies. Not sure what pay using your wallet is as I always pay with my redcard.

Wallet in the app is basically just storing your redcard on your phone and having them scan a barcode instead of your card

It says right there valid starting 11/27/2019

By the time its the 27th the Spiderman promo deal will stop running. Almost any retailer is excluding the spider-man bundle from any promotional offers anyway.

It’s a nifty feature. Stores your Redcard, gift cards, and cartwheel in one scannable bar code. No more incidents forgetting anything during checkout, plus one less card to carry.

Oh I actually go into the store. I don't think the deals will be better than Black Friday even with the 20% discount. Does it stack with %5 redcard?  I mainly want 4K movies so I think I should buy now.

Yup, your 20% off will stack with REDcard.

I wouldn't count on this 20% off to be better than Black Friday; buy your stuff now and think of the 20% off as a bonus to use on groceries, clothes, laundry detergent, Christmas gifts, etc. Or the off chance there's a good sale on (eligible) games or movies.

Target does or doesn't PM during black friday?

5%, but yes
LoL. Sorry. Been a minute since I shopped there.

Unrelated, but maybe y'all can steer me. I honestly find this site very difficult to navigate. Maybe it's just me but, though full of great information, I find the searches never take me where I'm trying to get. I'm trying to find the best price on Shadow of the Tomb Raider Croft Steelbook edition. So far the best price I've seen is $49.99. I know it's way off topic, but does Best Buy price match Black Friday prices? I have $70 worth of credit there and they' have the worst price on the aforementioned game. If nt, I'll buy SotTR on Amazon and save the credit for Resident Evil 2.

Any idea if i made a purcahse online at target today post 12: 00 am i would get the 20% too or in store only

it's $50+ online or 1 cent in store

also the 1tb spiderman bundle is currently in stock for shipping, so if anyone is still looking for that it will also net you the coupon

Yep u can get this coupon by either spending $50 online or 1 cent through the app which is funny cause I just spent $250 on an IPad mini 4 for the wife through the app last night. So, I’ll probably buy a cheap Blu Ray to get the coupon.

Edit: Found out later in the day today Target added the coupon to the wallet without making another purchase

I went into Target this morning to pick up Pacific Rim on 4K. Had them scan my “wallet” on the Target app (which has no card linked). Paid via cash and the coupon for 20% is now there in the app.

Bump since today starts the day.  I would still be interested in a coupon if someone won't be using theirs.

I also didn't use my Target app at all on store last wk unfortunately. Anyone happen to have a spare coupon they are not going to use?

My wife wanted a curio cabinet Target had on sale for 30% off today was the last day. I got that for her for Christmas and a couple 4k movies. Coupon and red card saved me $45. I got the coupon they passed out in stores. If I used the online promo code will the barcode part still work in store to get 20% off another purchase?

Yes, the coupon still works in store purchase.

Which cabinet? I'm in need for some.
