Battlefield V 29.99 @ GS

Does origin premiere give you the full game or does it cap at some point?
Premiere gives you the full deluxe version of the game while subscribed. I believe the deluxe content is just cosmetic. I bought a month to try the game. Now, I can't decide between buying games individually or paying the $100 for a year of Premiere.

I enjoyed Battlefield 1 enough that I'll give this a shot, but I'll wait until they release a version that includes all the DLC.

I am tempted, but I feel like this will hit $20 before too long now and I have so many games in my backlog already...

May I ask how you got it free?
It was one of the Games with Gold titles for November.

There is literally no reason to buy games at release anymore, unless you are a reviewer or mega fan of the franchise. Everything drops in price a month later lol.

Especially stuff that comes out in oct-nov.

My apologies. I forgot that was gwg last month. Thanks for the reply.

What happened with this game?? Is it really that bad that it’s 50% off less than a month after launching? I’m not a battlefield guy but honestly just wondering.

I think it's because the gameplay isn't all that different from Battlefield 1, and since Call of Duty did a World War II game a year ago, V's setting isn't particularly novel. I think people are ready to go back to non-historical shooters.

Imo, the beta was just terrible, and in a world where beta means demo, I had no interest in picking it up and I imagine that's the case for many. There was also the controversy, but let's be real, that's a very vocal minority (still a sizable amount of people, but ultimately a minority). The majority don't even know that there is a controversy (friends with plenty of people I'd consider "the majority" of gamers, meaning those that don't keep up with gaming news). Having played it a few hours post release, it's better than the beta was (again, imo). Overall I still prefer BF1. The game simultaneously feels like too much of a departure while also being so samey. What I mean by that is that mechanically it doesn't feel like battlefield anymore, but the moment to moment gunplay is basically copy-paste battlefield 1. In a word, I'd call the game uninteresting.
