Nice deal for Hellblade.  Was not expecting that to go on sale so soon.  It comes with a slipcover so if you do store pickup there's a good chance the slipcover gets ruined by the store pick up sticker.  Happened to me at launch (luckily they were able to exchange it for another copy).

Free with Game Pass. Just sayin.

Hellblade is amazing. Yeah, free with GamePass, but how many here actually own (or use) an Xbox One? Haven't touched mine since the Halo Wars 2 BETA...

Go check 25000+ reply thread dumbass. Plenty of people loving Xbox One Xs (where Hellblade looks and plays better).

Those idiotic pickup stickers are the worst I've ever seen! We used to complain about Gamestop and their sticker issues, but this is next-gen garbage. A 5"x5" super-thin and sticky paper that has a 90% chance of ruining anything it gets stuck to.

How much better is Hellblade on an X1X? I have a regular PS4 and have been meaning to play it. Debating if it's worth double-dipping for that X-enhanced goodness.

One BB here just peels the corner, another one makes damn sure you cant ever get it off... i returned something that had the full super glue treatment on it. Was enjoying every minute it took the clerk to take it off. (He was not happy lol)

Them: Do you regret buying the deluxe edition of Battlefield V on day 1?

I see lots of stories about those GD in store pickup stickers from BB. Completely agree, the absolute worst.
You long time Best Buyers remember they used to write on those GD labels with pen, that would leave an impression on the item itself. Double Whammy!
Now they use markers.

Sounds like you feel some type of way about this...

As someone who has owned all 3 Xbox gens, my Switch and PS4 have rendered the latest one obsolete. So he's not wrong...

Anyway, thanks for the post, Tyrok!

I think we can all agree that a) any true gamer has multiple consoles and b) the weekly Best Buy thread is not a place for fanboy posts.

If I lived in a world where for whatever reason I could only have one console, the PS4 would probably win out only because of exclusives (and I'm addicted to The Show). But the XB1X far and away gets more of my time because everything else is better on it. From the controller to the community to the dashboard to the better graphics on multiplatform games, anyone who dismisses it isn't paying attention.

As someone who owns an Xbox One X, it’s my PS4 that has been kicked to the curb. I play some exclusives on my PS4 but EVERY multiplatform game plays better on my X so it gets 90% of my gaming time. And I’ve owned Sony, Nintendo and MS platforms for years.

Yeah, I don’t even consider myself a fanboy but when someone writes off an entire console as obsolete when said console plays this and other game better, well... I’ll just leave it at that.

Do I need to redo my pre-order to get the keychain or will it automatically apply retroactively? Or do I need to contact CS and have it added manually?
They emailed me a few weeks before Smash came out to tell me they added the Coin to my order. Should be the same for this.

Hellblade is tempting (especially given it's a physical copy) but I think i'll grab it on steam.

From a LONG time Sony fanboy (day 1 PS1/2/3/4/PSP/Vita owner) my current console of choice is my X1X. Followed by my Switch, then the PSVR. Actual PS4 games are just not played much anymore... as awp said, multiplatform stuff is X1X now.

And i'm pretty sure if Sony was to announce the PS5 for sale tomorrow, i'd buy one and never turn the X1X on again.

It's the vicious cycle of being a gamer.

Agreed and hopefully said PS5 is quieter than my PS4 which can be so loud at times that I don’t even enjoy playing the exclusives much.

For me it’s not about being a fanboy, it’s playing where I get the best experience.

I don’t think that’s being a gamer I think that’s, idk.

So you actively ignore the exclusive games you can only get on Y platform to only play games you can get on XYZ platforms but would buy a iteration of Y platform without question?

It’s weird to not find one (let alone several) of the PS4 only games interesting but whatever, people don’t like everything I guess but then you’d buy a PS5 despite it, uhh probably being the same thing with the same franchises you’re already ignoring?

Seems weird and not typical consumer behavior Imo. Makes sense to get multiplats in 1X but uhh, you’ve got a ton of experiences waiting for you on the PS4. Try something new

I feel like console noise shouldn’t have an impact on enjoyment of a product.

Also, you could always get a slim, which is a lot more quiet.

Playing multiplats in 1X I can get, 4K, etc

I didnt say a word about exclusives..... I *only* stated multi-platform games.

All I said is CURRENT console of choice is the X1X. Prior to me getting the X1X It was PS4 all the way and the X1S I had was pretty much a dust magnet.

I still want Spiderman... I loved HZD, I have God of War from a recent deal, but am heavily invested in RDR2 still. Backlogs are a bitch.

And just to be clear, I have a PS4 Pro, and it's loud.. Mines not the new super quiet one either.

I think awp has one also? I vaguely remember him mentioning it in another thread, could be wrong though.

Counterpoint.

As someone who has owned all three Xbox gens including 2 OG XB1's, 2 XB1 S's, and currently 2 XB1 X's, my Xboxes get more playtime than my PlayStation Pro and Switch combined. So he is wrong. But could be right. I guess it depends on who you ask?

Doesn't matter. Happy New Year!

I’m a collector so I’m hyped for this hellblade deal. It deserves to be in my collection. I only go digital if the game is really cheap or doesn’t have to be added to my precious physical collection.

Just wondering if they’d add the keychain to my kh3 online pre order paid in full with 25% farewell gcu discount

Normally I am a Sony fanboy but I've been exclusively on my new X1X for the past several weeks after not having turned on my launch Xbone for well over a year. Game Pass is a steal at its current price of $70 for a year and I honestly prefer digital due to a lack of space to store any more physical games. Due to my trophy addiction, I'll still be getting new games on PS4 unless a multiplatform game launches on Game Pass but the X will be getting a lot more use going forward.

Some people prefer a physical copy instead of digital air.
So do I. I own every Forza game for the Xbox on disc...except for Forza Horizon 4 because I'm playing the fuck out of it using game pass.

I didn't make the post to start a physical vs. digital or Sony vs. Microsoft debate. I posted it to point out another cost effective way to play the game.

Nearly everyone on this website own multiple copies of at least three different Resident Evil games. No one knows how to save money here.

*looks at Okami on PS2, Wii, PS4 and digital Switch right next to Skyrim for 360, Legendary PS3, Special Edition PS4, portable for Switch and PC*

*wtf am I doing?!?*

Obviously you been gaming at just old 1080p or in upscaled 4k.

Or he could be like me. I am a PC gamer primarily so have been gaming in higher than 1080p for over 5 years at least but I have no use for an Xbox One X. I just deal with the mediocre PC versions that MS puts out for their few. Not sure why MS can't figure out their own OS but whatever. Now if only by some miracle Sony would put theirs on PC too... I do own a PS4 right now because they put out enough great exclusives to make it worthwhile to own.

Also 4k is overrated compared to FPS. Sadly they are jumping resolution to 4k on the Xbox and running at 30 FPS. If I had the choice I would take 1080p at 60 FPS than 4k at 30 FPS.

Edit: Also I should mention that all this argument is silly because some guy just mentioned another way to get the game.

Some games do have the option of 60 FPS on the Xbox One X or 30 FPS at 4K. It all depends on the developer’s choice, not anything MS is doing.

Well obviously it is up to the developer but not all are doing that. Just stating how I feel on resolution compared to FPS not anything on MS.

Is the cycle for Battlefield usually about two years before it starts being dirt cheap and the dlc is given away?  I'd like to play Battlefield V, but I've been burned the last two times purchasing the game just before it hits about $15 and then purchasing the DLC passes just before they start going out for free.
