Wow Mario+Rabids for $20 pre GCU is the cheapest I've seen by about $5. Will have to pick that up this week especially since I still have GCU.

I’m also considering Mario + Rabbids for $15 after GCU and in-store pickup. I wish the SP would go on sale though.

This. If you pre-order in store, then you have to have GCU as it is only a deposit to hold a copy and you pay at pickup.

But, if you pre-order online, it finalizes the sale price locked in but doesn't finalize the CC charge until launch.

Yeah, you get the discount. Only issue is if your credit card expires. Had that happen to me. Thankfully, Best Buy’s customer service has allowed me to switch credit cards and still applied the 20% discount. Still have a few more preorders in the pipeline with the GCU discount locked in.

19.99 pre gcu was my buy price, the dlc price has to drop at some point.

Best price was $26 for the Gold a month ago.. I don't think the DLC has been on sale before. (Mario+Rabbids)

Didn't someone mention Starlink for the switch was $19.99 pre GCU? Showing as $29.99 for me?

It was definitely $19.99 when I checked last night. It must have been a price mistake and switched it to the correct sale price.

Lol, that Nintendo tax. Though we now own a Switch, we only buy exclusives for it because of that garbage greediness.

Was "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" ever eligible for the pre-order certificate? According to BB website, the only games I can see that have the offer currently are The Division 2 and Anthem.

That's a shame. Guess they consider it more of a "niche" title.

Did Resident Evil 2 have a $10 reward certificate if you pre-ordered?

Nope. Wish it did. KH3 did. Wish DMC5 did. Maybe MK11 will be added

This going to be one of those that's available forever that gets heavily discounted you think? How did the amount of these received compare to say BFV and FO76?

I don't see it lingering. Don't have the full shipment yet but those other 2 were for holiday releases and some stores got between 50-100 of each.

Ordered Warriors All-Stars online for in-store pickup. $1 of for in-store pickup and had few pennies left on a gift card so it came to $14 and change.

Pre-order question: When pre-ordering games via BB.com, do they place a temporary authorization charge for the full amount?

Yes. It will drop off and charge you when the item ships.

Cool, thanks. For some reason I can never remember.

I just got a new $10 Reward Certificate and I noticed it expires in 6 months instead of the usual 12 months that my older certificates have.  Did Best Buy recently change their My BB Rewards certificates expiration to 6 months?  Not that it really matters to me, as I tend to spend them within weeks of getting them, but it could affect some people who save theirs for longer periods of time.

I preordered Anthem when I had GCU, but now it ran out and I wanted to switch payment from a credit card to gift card. Is that possible without them cancelling the order and losing the GCU discount?

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a reward certificate that had an expiration more then two months.

I'd reach out to their customer service and do it and explain you don't want to lose the discount. You could also probably wait a month and buy it for $30 after Anthem bombs and everyone is playing The Division 2.

I didn't even realize certificates expired, so thanks for pointing that out. I've got $15 worth that expire next month.

Points Banking is your friend.  Points never expire if they are banked, and you can make certs whenever you want in any $5 dollar increment.

The Switch Starter Pack of Starlink is down to $19.99 ($15.99 with GCU). Now the only question is how much lower may it go?

I just grabbed this on Sunday for 19.99 before GCU, and then yesterday it was back up to 29.99 before GCU and the online weekly ad price changed as well as the in store tags.

Detroit is now $15.99 after gcu ( price drop to 19.99).

Finally

Spider-Man also had a price drop to $39.99, so $31.99 with GCU and $30.99 with in-store pickup.

My GCU is up next week, so I'm considering splurging on a bunch of switch games that I would have grabbed on sale and aren't likely to go on sale anytime soon. Namely,

-Hyrule Warriors

-New Super Mario Brothers

-DKCTF

Will probably grab Mario and Rabbids again since 15 bucks is too good to pass up.
