$229 Mystery Electronics Item at Woot

they've done cheap switches in the past, so wouldn't surprise me if it is a switch, take the gamble if you wanna

Could be a Switch, as they're selling controllers for it at the same time.  Also, the Specs say this:

Made up specs:
Requirements: You must enjoy fun. Wherever. Whenever.

Definitely not worth it to me to pay $230 for possibly having a useful $300 item.  If you order it, please report what you get. I am curious nonetheless.

i think it could be a switch based on the clues. the cat saying woof hints at "opposite" or "switch"
Is Eevee considered a dog? This might be the Pokemon Eevee Switch bundle.

One guy in warios feed noticed it's listed in the headphones section, could be misdirection but who knows

this sounds like a arcade one up cabinet :p...sense of nostalgia and ppl were angry and told them not to order it.... why would this be a switch :p

I've passed on two of them for $150 and under now. Saw an Atari one at Target for $120 and a display Street Fighter 2 at FYE for $150, which if it were new in the box for $150 I would have bought it. The display unit is in great shape, but I am a CAG after all and would pay no more than $80 for it!

This is what it has come to, loot box electronics?

Y'all degens need serious help, and I say that as an Asian with problem gambling genes from both sides of my family.

Woot sells like 1000 things at once, but yeah, they are selling a Switch controller so it's a big clue!  I hope it's garbage so you guys learn your lesson.

It's an OG Playstation.  MSRP was $299, nostalgia is strong.  There was a dog in Silent Hill 2, so the cat saying woof is a clear nod.

Your mom seemed to think so last night.
...I am shocked, absolutely best comment I've ever heard. Everyone needs to make this a national holiday for the greatest comeback to ever be said in the history of ever! Just.. wowww it was so damn good! Like for real! Just amazing

For real man are we like 8 again or something?😂

That's what your mom said the night before that.

Just curious, if it really is a switch for $230, is that a decent deal for a plain one, and with no warranty?
Nope. I think FB had Switches around that price during BF and I got mine for around $260 with an ebay coupon.

Definitely not an insane deal to be buying stuff blind or even bragging about it, but people like to gamble. I hope these degenerates at least get their fix from this.

not sure how it makes people degenerates to try to get a cheap switch but ok

That's just like your opinion, man.

If it does turn out to be a Switch I won't be unhappy that I missed out, there's rumors they're making a smaller, cheaper model soon to fill the role of the outgoing 3DS.

If it is a Switch and was $179 (cheapest price during BF) I could understand gambling.. but $230 + tax doesn't seem worth it. Why pay more for a gamble when you could have gotten it cheaper without the mystery in November? I would just pay a bit more and get it elsewhere or wait for the new model it I didn't own a switch.

Chances are, if you're the type to gamble $230 on this, you'll probably do it again in the future and take a loss eventually
