Call of Duty: WWII - $9.99 at Walmart (XB1/PS4)

Is this game still active on xbox one? Not a huge fan of the maps in this game but its enjoyable enough.

Edit: nevermind I see its sold out now anyways lol

Thanks OP! I was able to price match in store at Target and got the Gold edition since the DPCI is merged with the standard edition. Of course YMMV.

Thanks, OP!  Ordered one for ship-to-store to save the $6 shipping cost since there weren't any close to me.  Have been holding out on this one since I'm not too into the WWII setting, but for $10, I'll get it for zombies mode.  And, you know, it actually has a campaign, so that's a plus.

Thanks OP, snagged a copy to pick up for PS4.  I haven't played a COD since Ghosts but I always enjoy the WW setting.  I also do not play multiplayer so having a campaign makes it appealing.

Same here. I miss the old CoD days when I played on PC, and expansions were boxed editions where you put a disk in your DVD-rom. Bah humbug, get off my lawn, etc.

Other than the cut-scenes (really good voice acting), I found the campaign to be really disappointing and haven't finished it. The level design feels extremely dated for a game that came out in 2017

Good to know, I'll keep my expectations in check. Also I'm glad I'm only paying $10 for it now which I sure you spent more than that on your copy.

Just picked up my copy from best buy. I'm actually a tad excited to play it, hearing it's more of an 'old school' call of duty and not the 'kids these days' nonsense out there now.

Try to price match from Target and got rejected. The lady noticed the gold edition label and show me that Walmart has it for $29.99 if I want it. So I played dumb said I didn't know there's gold edition, thank her and walk away lol.

YMMV.

I tired to price match at Best Buy Buy was also denied. But their was a happy ending, I got a hot date with the blonde cashier.

I had an annoying experience today when trying to price match the game at a local Walmart. When I went to go buy the game, I asked the store associate if they price matched walmart.com. He said he wasn't sure, and asked another employee. The other employee said yes, but because the difference was so much, a manager had to approve it (The price was $49.99 in store for the non-gold edition). I said fine, and an assistant manager showed up a minute later.

When she found out that it was a $40 difference she said that she couldn't do a price match because their inventory said it was limited qty. I replied to her that the website was still selling it for $9.99 and that i could still buy it and do a store pick up at this local store. I also saw 5 physical copies in the display case right now. She kept on giving me the run around saying that she couldn't do it, and that they changed their PM policy two weeks ago, so if the store inventory was limited they couldn't PM walmart.com. I told her that doesn't make sense, the game isn't out of  stock, I see it online and for store pick up today. She said that if I talked to the store manager, she would say the same thing to me. I asked to speak to the store manager...

Three minutes later, the store manager came down, and found out how much the PM difference was. She said no, and kept on saying the inventory was limited. I told her, "But that doesn't mean it is sold out, I can still buy the game and do store pick up today." The manager said that the website on my phone shouldn't let me be able to my the game since her  store inventory shows that it was limited. I showed her that it is giving me the option to pick up from this store and that I got to the credit card info page. She said that, "I should just do store pick up then, but it might take 5 hours to process the order." My response to that was, " But I'm already in the store, and it would be easier to just have you guys price match it instead of waiting for a store pick up confirmation, and I've never had a problem price matching walmart.com before...." She said the system won't let her do it since they have limited quantities. And I kept telling her that doesn't mean it is sold out and that if you want me to do store pick up, why can't you just PM.

Finally she just told the store associate to "just give it to him." I said thank you and she left. I just don't understand why both the assistant manager and store manager was making such a big deal about it. I always thought the one place Walmart would price match, is their own website. I felt like I was talking in circles. But whatever, I got the game finally.

Both of my local stores had it according to the website. I just placed an order for pickup. I swore I'd never buy a COD after Infinite Warfare, but I can't pass up $9.99.

See you On Touhy dude LOL Just kidding both are on T I snagged the last one closer to city, I hope they don't mess with me. Waiting on email.

Nice; I'm thankful that the thread got bumped and I decided to check it on a whim instead of assume it was a bump about a Target price match or something. Snagged an Xbox copy.

ordered for pickup at target, then chatted for a price match. the merged skus caused them great confusion, but the end result is a $40 credit on my statement. thanks op!

Deal offically over . They tried to screw me around, took my money and did not have at store, luckily store a few miles away had a bunch was able to cancel order and grab there. I'm not surprised. I've never been able to get them to price match their own website. It's ridiculous. I've had at least 3 lengthy arguments similar to yours. It's why I no longer shop there. One time they argued over $5. They started being dicks about 5-6 years ago when moron employees were price matching fake Amazon pages for like $50 Ps4's..... It made national news. Tons of people were doing it. Since then they won't price match anything.

The Walmart website explains the price match policy. They are technically supposed to match Walmart.com pricing, but ultimately it's up to the manager if they want to decline a price match.

Wal-Mart has been grade-A asses on price matching for years now. Can't say I was surprised to read your story, ValkyrieVF-1S. Sorry to hear that.
Wal-Mart, to me, is a place I only go if I have to. Target is FAR better than Crap-Mart.

Thanks again OP! Today I did drive up pickup for my Target price match and ended up getting the gold edition for $8.03 after redcard and taxes :)

Instead of getting mad at employees trying to cover their asses, get mad at the scammers that made it so that employees have to act the way they do to cover their asses.
